Starstylers is a Dutch Eurodance music project. The group is composed of DJ NLSiO (Nils Van Zandt), singer Dorien Driessens of Gemert and Robin Drost.

History

The first single of Starstylers, with the original singer of Michy, Michelle Lemmens, was "Keep On Moving". It was released in 2005 and became a hit in Europe. [1] It features a sampling of the melody of the song "Ecuador", originally performed by the trio Sash!, which was popular in 1997. [1] [2]

In 2006, "Keep on Moving" was introduced in the Top 100 and reached the 14th position within two weeks. [1] The song was found in the Top 10 list of many European countries, including Poland, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Turkey. [3] The single was released in the United States and the United Kingdom during the summer of 2006, [4] and was featured in the trailer for the movie The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift in the UK. [5]

Their second single, "Higher", was released on July 31, 2006. [6]

Singer Dorien Driessens also performs in the rock band Boston Tea Party, and she is responsible for the backing vocals of Djumbo. [7]

Captain Hollywood Project is a German eurodance music project best known for the hits "More and More," "Only with You" and "Flying High." At the peak of its success in the 1990s, the project achieved ten top-20 hits on European music charts. The project was first formed in 1990 in Nuremberg, Germany by rapper/singer, dancer and music producer Tony Dawson-Harrison. When first naming the project, Harrison chose the name 'Captain Hollywood Project' in order to distinguish his new music for the project from his music from previous years. He also chose the name to give himself the creative freedom as executive producer to involve any singer, songwriter or producer of his choice when producing each of the new songs for the project. Even though the act has been viewed as a one-man act starring Harrison as the rapper/frontman, an ensemble of female backup singers, dancers and backing musicians have been traditionally included in the act by Harrison. Today, Captain Hollywood Project is recognized as a live performing duo act starring Harrison and singer/dancer Shirin von Gehlen as the project's lead singer and frontwoman. Together with their live musicians and dancers, Harrison and von Gehlen perform the Captain Hollywood Project hits year-round at concert venues in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Russia and Australia.

The song's music video, directed by Antti Jokinen, was shot on April 30 and May 1, 2005, at the Culver Studios in Los Angeles.

"The Summer Is Magic" is a song by Italian Eurodance group Playahitty, released in July 1994 by Conte Max Music as their debut single. The lead vocals are performed by Italian singer Giovanna Bersola, as she did for the 1993 hit "The Rhythm of the Night" by Corona. This led to the mistaken belief that "The Summer Is Magic" was another hit song by Corona. The song hit the charts in the summer and autumn of 1994 in several countries of Continental Europe, such as Italy, where it reached number two on the Top 40 singles chart. It reached the top 40 also in Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. A partly black-and-white music video was produced to promote the single, but it didn't feature Bersola.

"Higher" is the fifth single from English singer-songwriter Taio Cruz's second studio album, Rokstarr. It was written and produced by Cruz and Sandy Vee, and was released on 26 November 2010. This song was originally written for Australian singer Kylie Minogue's album Aphrodite, but plans fell through. However, Cruz and Minogue recorded a version of the song for the European release, while American rapper Travie McCoy recorded guest raps for the American release. The Brazilian and United Kingdom versions have parts of McCoy's rap mixed into the Minogue version. The version on Cruz's albums feature a solo vocal by Cruz with no guest vocalist and an edited version of the solo version was added to Radio Disney's playlist.

R.I.O. is a German dance music band. The members are Yann Peifer and DJ Manian, who originally founded the band in 2007. Until 2012, Tony T. was part of the band. Their biggest hit was the song "Turn This Club Around", which charted in the top 5 in Germany and Austria and at number one in Switzerland.

Supported by a partially computer generated music video, the song was a chart success in Europe, peaking at number two in both Belgium and the Netherlands, and number three in Austria.

"Everybody" is a song by Swiss Eurodance artist DJ BoBo, released in May 1994 by Fresh label as the fourth and last single from the artist's debut album, Dance With Me (1993). Co-written and co-produced by BoBo, the song was very successful in Europe, reaching number-one in Finland, number two in Germany, and number three in Switzerland. Additionally, "Everybody" was a top 10 hit in Iceland and the Netherlands, peaking at number eight and ten, respectively. The female vocals are performed by Jennifer Rüsch. The music video for the song was directed by Giacomo de Simone and filmed in Italy.

"The World in My Hands" (also known as "The World in My Hands (We Are One)") is a song by German Eurodance project Snap!. It was released in September 1995 by Ariola and BMG as the third single from the project's third and final studio album, Welcome to Tomorrow (1994). The song features vocals by American singer Summer (a.k.a. Paula Brown), who had previously performed on "Welcome to Tomorrow (Are You Ready?)" and "The First the Last Eternity (Till the End)". She also shares writing credits with Snap!, Penny Ford and Val Young. Although "The World in My Hands" didn't reach the same level of success as Snap!'s earlier singles, it was a hit in Europe, becoming a top-30 hit in Flanders and a top-40 hit in the Netherlands. On the European Dance Radio Chart, the song peaked at number nine in October 1995.
