Start From Here is the debut album by singer-songwriter Joanna Wang, released by Sony BMG Taiwan in January 2008. [1] The album consists of two disks, featuring songs performed in English and Mandarin. It received mostly positive reviews and commercial success, with the sales of over 200,000 copies in Asia. [2]
Despite the album's success, Wang herself strongly dislikes the album, and the label of "jazz singer" under which she became known in Taiwan, in the wake of the album's success. [3] In a Reddit 'Ask Me Anything', she wrote:
At 17, I signed my first contract with Sony Music Taiwan, a decision I would soon have extremely mixed feelings - regret, fear, frustration, arousal, and sometimes hunger.
Long story short, the first two years was not what I expected and hoped for at all. After a lot of "no's, but's" and reluctant "yes's", at 19 I debuted with a shitastic record with the cheesiest and cliche 80's-esque music videos to very lame music that my label coerced me into singing [...] [3]

L.A. Boyz was a Taiwanese pop/rap group composed of brothers Jeff Huang and Stanley Huang, and their cousin Steven Lin (林智文) formed circa 1991. They are considered to be the first rap group in Taiwanese popular music. They released 13 albums starting from their first "SHIAM! 閃" in 1992.

Shangri-La is an album by Taiwanese-American R&B artist, Leehom Wang. It was released on 31 December 2004 by Sony Music Taiwan. Cass Phang is a retired Cantopop singer from Hong Kong, affiliated with EMI from 1993 to 1998 and then with Sony Music Entertainment. She was born in Hong Kong, studied at Munsang College and a high school in Australia. In September 1998, she married Hong Kong actor and pop singer Jan Lamb, a member of musical rap duo DJ Softhard.
