State Inspection Council (Turkish : Devlet Denetleme Kurulu) was founded based on the 1982 constitution as a central assisting body. [1] The main function of the council is to audit governance in terms of compliance with legal regulations, in coordination with high efficiency. The council is under direct authority of the President of the Republic of Turkey. [2]

The council handles inspections based on request of the President, [3] it is an authority on all public bodies including professional institutions, employees and the employers' associations, and non-profit chambers. This excludes the Turkish Army and juridical bodies. [4]

The Magtymguly International Prize is an award given by Turkmenistan to those who help achieve the aim of Magtymguly, an 18th-century poet; the establishment of an independent Turkmenistan. It was established on 19 May 1992 in the field of Turkmen language and literature was established. In 2008, in order to increase the authority of the prize, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow signed a decree, which approved the new composition of the relevant committee on awarding the prize. It is awarded annually.

Democracy and National Unity Day 15 July public holiday in Turkey

The Democracy and National Unity Day of Turkey is one of the public holidays in Turkey, commemorating the national unity against the coup d'état attempt for democracy in 2016. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in 27th Muhtars Meeting that, he and National Security Council recommended commemoration of veterans and martyrs of 15 July as "Democracy and Celebration of Freedom Day". Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım announced on 11 October 2016 that a new law has been prepared and opened for signatures. After formal procedures, 15 July became a national holiday as "Democracy and National Unity Day".

Osman Nuri Önügören was a prominent Turkish businessman, born in the village of Adil Mosul, in Niğde. He completed his primary school education in Afyon where his father served at the state railway. He was unable to continue his education after primary school because of the prevailing famine at the time as well as other reasons.

During Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's campaign for presidency in 2014 and throughout his presidency, there were numerous claims and allegations that he didn't actually graduate from a university and therefore he is ineligible to be President of Turkey because he was not a university graduate as required by Article 101 of the Turkish constitution.
