Stathis Stasi (born 19 April 1973) is a Cypriot middle-distance runner. He competed in the men's 3000 metres steeplechase at the 2000 Summer Olympics. [1]

The men's ISSF 50 meter pistol was a shooting sports event held as part of the Shooting at the 1948 Summer Olympics programme. It was the seventh appearance of the event. The competition was held on 2 August 1948 at the shooting ranges at London. 50 shooters from 22 nations competed. Nations had been limited to three shooters each since the 1932 Games. The event was won by Edwin Vásquez of Peru in the nation's debut in the free pistol. Vásquez is still the only Peruvian athlete to win a gold medal at an Olympic Games. Rudolf Schnyder of Switzerland took silver. Defending champion Torsten Ullman of Sweden earned bronze, the second man to win multiple medals in the event.

Linda Hanel is an Australian former champion swimmer. She competed in three events at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal - the 100-metre Women's Butterfly, the 200-metre Women's Butterfly and the 4x100-metre Women's Medley Relay. At the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, Canada, Hanel set a Games record in her qualifying heat, with a time of 2:14.54. She went on to win a bronze medal in both the Women's 100-metre Butterfly and the 200-metre Butterfly. In her home state of Victoria, she held the record for the 200-metre open butterfly for nearly 26 years, with a time of 2:12.12.

Efstathios "Stathis" Sarantos is a Greek former water polo player who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics and the 1978 FINA World Championship. At club level, he played for Olympiacos.

Ernst Scherzer is a German alpine skier. He competed in the men's slalom at the 1964 Winter Olympics. He worked for the Stasi between 1977 and 1989.

Madeleine Eve Barnett is a former Australian diver. She won a bronze medal in the 10 metres highboard event at the 1974 British Commonwealth Games. She also competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics in the 3 metre springboard event where she finished 15th and in the 10 metre platform event where she finished 18th. She is the mother of Olympic bronze medallist diver Steven Barnett.
