Stefan Zisser (March 26, 1980 in Bolzano, Italy) is an Italian former professional ice hockey Forward. He most prominently played with HCB South Tyrol of the Austrian Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (EBEL).
Zisser was a veteran member of the Italy men's national ice hockey team who has participated at several Ice Hockey World Championships. He also competed for Italy in ice hockey at the 2006 Winter Olympics. [1]
The 2005 IIHF World Women's Championships was held April 2–9, 2005, in Linköping, at Cloetta Center, and Norrköping, at Himmelstalundshallen, in Sweden. USA won their first gold medal at the World Championships, defeating the defending champions Canada in a penalty shootout. Sweden won their first medal at the World Women Championships, defeating Finland 5–2 in the bronze medal game. The championship was expanded to nine teams for 2006, so there was no relegation at any level.

The CIS national ice hockey team was an ephemeral national ice hockey team that represented the Commonwealth of Independent States. Essentially the former Soviet team under a different name, the CIS team existed in the few months between the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the formation of new ice hockey federations for the former Soviet states, now independent countries. Most notably, the team competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics as part of the Unified Team, winning the gold medal. However, the International Ice Hockey Federation would later attribute this gold medal to Russia as the successor state. The International Olympic Committee does not attribute that medal to Russia. After the Olympics, the CIS team ceased to exist and was replaced by the Russian team. In the 13 games the CIS played, they won 11 and lost 2.
Matthew DeMarchi is an American-born Italian former professional ice hockey player who participated at the 2010 IIHF World Championship as a member of the Italy men's national ice hockey team.
Alexander Egger is an Italian professional ice hockey defenseman who is currently Captaining Italian club, HCB South Tyrol in the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL). He also represents the Italian men's National ice hockey team. In the 2013–14 season, Egger led HCB to the EBEL championship in their inaugural Austrian season.
Roland Ramoser is retired Italian ice hockey player who participated at the 2010 IIHF World Championship as a member of the Italy men's national ice hockey team. Over the course of his career he participated in 17 IIHF World Championship tournaments, 13 in the top division. At the time of his retirement in 2011, Ramoser had participated in the second most World Championships, behind Tommy Jakobsen of Norway. At the age of 18 he went to Canada and played for the Hull Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League before going back to Europe.
