Stefanos Dimitriadis (born 8 September 1989, Athens) is a Greek swimmer. [1] [2] At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's 100 metre butterfly and 200 m butterfly, finishing in 40th and 23rd places overall respectively in the heats, failing to qualify for the semifinals. [2]
At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, he competed in the men's 200 metre butterfly. He finished 18th in the heats with a time of 1:56.76 and did not qualify for the semifinals. [3]
Ryan John Pini MBE is a 4-time Olympic swimmer from Papua New Guinea. He swam for PNG at the 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympics; also serving as the PNG flagbearer in 2008 and 2016. He is the first PNG swimmer ever to reach an Olympic final.
Pedro Diogo Tavares Martins de Oliveira is a Portuguese swimmer, who specialized in backstroke and butterfly events. He is a two-time Olympian, and a double silver medalist in the 200 m backstroke at the European Junior Championships. He also holds four Portuguese records, two national titles, and has produced a stellar performance at the NCAA Swimming Championships, earning five All-American titles as a member of Louisville Cardinals.
Chad Guy Bertrand le Clos, OIS is a South African competitive swimmer who is an Olympic, World and Commonwealth Games champion. He is the African record, Commonwealth record, and South African record holder in the short course and long course 200-metre butterfly and the short course 100-metre butterfly. He also holds African and South African records in the long course 200-metre freestyle and 100-metre butterfly, as well as the short course 100-metre freestyle. Formerly, he was a world record holder in the short course 100-metre butterfly and 200-metre butterfly.

Alexandra Wenk is a German swimmer who competes in the Women's 100 metre butterfly. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she finished 21st overall in the heats in the Women's 100 metre butterfly and failed to reach the final. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she finished in 21st place in the women's 100 m butterfly and did not qualify for the semifinals. She competed in the women's 200 m medley where she finished 11th in the semifinals and did not qualify for the final. She was also a member of the women's 4 × 100 m medley relay team which finished 12th in the heats and did not qualify for the final.
Kristel Vourna is a Greek swimmer. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, she competed in the Women's 100 metre butterfly. She took the 12th place overall, finishing 7th in the second semifinal in the 100 metre butterfly with a Greek record of 58.31 seconds. She also swam the anchor leg of Greece's 4 x 100 freestyle relay, but the team failed to qualify for the final, finishing in the 16th place.

The Maldives competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016. This was the nation's eighth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics. The delegation included two track and field athletes: Hassan Saaid and Afa Ismail, as well as swimmers Ibrahim Nishwan and Aminath Shajan. Both Shajan and Ismail were returning competitors from the 2012 London Olympics, with the former leading the Maldivian squad as the flag bearer in the opening ceremony.
