In 1976, he joined Alien, an Arizona-based band that was voted the No. 1 cover band in Phoenix in 1977.
In 1980, he joined the band Full House, formerly known as Black Sheep. In the same year he wrote and recorded the vocals on an album done by Orange County-based band, Hustler. In 1982, he joined the band Joshua, which was voted Music Connection Magazine's band and album of the year. [2]

In July 1986, he was accepted as the vocalist for Uriah Heep’s United States and Canadian tour, but in September of same year he left the band. According to Mick Box: "He had a great voice but his discipline was something else. He'd go for a walk during rehearsals and then get lost. He even missed a gig in San Francisco once!" [3]
In 1988, he formed the band Ringleader, a studio project with guitarist Lonny Napier and drummer Brian Irving.

In 2014, he recorded vocals with the Arizona rock band Out There on the Out There Again Album with Kirk Krein, Tom Vanderginst and Sean Medhi. The album was released June 12, 2015.
Keith Morris is an American singer and songwriter known for his role as frontman of the hardcore punk bands Black Flag, Circle Jerks, and Off!. Born and raised in Hermosa Beach, California, he formed Black Flag at the age of 21 with guitarist Greg Ginn and performed on the band's 1979 debut EP Nervous Breakdown. Shortly after leaving Black Flag in 1979, he formed the Circle Jerks with guitarist Greg Hetson; the band released seven albums between 1980 and 1995 and have broken up and reformed on numerous occasions. In 2009 Morris formed the supergroup Off! with guitarist Dimitri Coats, bassist Steven Shane McDonald, and drummer Mario Rubalcaba. Morris has also appeared as a guest vocalist on several albums by other artists.
Uriah Heep are an English rock band formed in London in 1969. Their current lineup includes lead and rhythm guitarist Mick Box, keyboardist Phil Lanzon, lead vocalist Bernie Shaw, drummer Russell Gilbrook, and bassist Davey Rimmer. They have experienced numerous lineup changes throughout its 51-year career, leaving Box as the only remaining original member left in Uriah Heep. Paul Newton is an English rock musician. He was the original bass guitarist for Uriah Heep and played on the band's first three albums. He subsequently played for a band called Festival for several years on the Mecca Palais circuit and also worked as a studio musician and appeared on various recordings. More recently he has performed with other ex-members of Uriah Heep in Uriah Heep Legends. He has appeared with Behind Closed Doors, a band formed by his son, Julian. Now works occasionally with Bromyard band The Business and Off the Cuff with long time friend, guitarist Dave Beale and guested with Uriah Heep along with John Lawton at Masters of Rock Festival in Czech Republic in July 2019. He was scheduled to team up again with Ken Hensley at Heepvention 2020 in Lahti, Finland in May 2020.
