Steinar Reiten (born 10 May 1963) is a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party.

He served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Hedmark during the term 20012005 and Møre og Romsdal during the term 20092013. [1]

He headed the party from its founding until March 2005, when internal disparity among the members forced him to give up his leadership. Bastesen kept his seat in the Storting until the 2005 election six months later.
