Stephen Pearton

Stephen Pearton is an American materials scientist, engineer, and Distinguished Professor at the University of Florida. [1] [2] [3] Pearton's work focuses on the use of advanced materials in areas such as laser diodes, [4] nanomaterial applications, [5] and similar applications.

Pearton is a recipient of the J.J. Ebers Award [6] from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, [7] and the David Adler Lectureship Award in the Field of Materials Physics from the American Physical Society. [8] He is also a Fellow of multiple professional or academic societies, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, [9] the American Physical Society, [10] the Materials Research Society, [11] and the American Vacuum Society.
