Steve Gilbert (born c. 1957) is an American former college football coach. He served as the head football coach at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania from 1988 to 1996 and Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida from 1998 to 2006, compiling a career college football coaching record of 76–102. Gilbert was the first head coach in the history of the Jacksonville Dolphins football program. [1]

Gilbert played college football at West Chester University. He was an assistant coach at the University of Pennsylvania and then offensive coordinator at Washington University in St. Louis for four seasons before he was hired as head football coach at Ursinus in 1988. [2]

Kerwin Douglas Bell is an American football coach and former player who is currently the Head Coach of the Western Carolina Catamounts football team. Bell was born in the North Central Florida town of Live Oak and was a star high school football quarterback at Lafayette County High School in nearby Mayo, Florida. Bell did not attract the attention of top college football programs while playing at the small high school, so he decided to attend the University of Florida in nearby Gainesville and joined the Gators as a walk-on.

Peter P. Stevens

Peter P. Stevens was an American football player and coach of football, basketball, and baseball. He played college football at Temple University from 1933 to 1935 and professionally in the National Football League (NFL) with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1936. Stevens served as the head football coach at Ursinus College from 1941 to 1943 and again in 1946 and at his alma mater, Temple, from 1956 to 1959, compiling a career college football coaching record of 8–44–3. In 1960, he became an assistant football coach at Drexel. He was also the head basketball coach at Ursinus in 1942–43 and the head baseball coach at Temple from 1947 to 1952. Stevens died on May 5, 1989 at his home in West Melbourne, Florida.

Gregg Troy American Olympic swimming coach

Gregg Troy is an American professional and Olympic swimming coach. As of April 2021, he is the head coach for the Cali Condors, which is part of the International Swimming League. Until 2018, he was the head coach of the Florida Gators swimming and diving teams of the University of Florida. Previously, Troy served as an assistant coach for the U.S. Olympic men's swim team in 1996 and 2008, and he was the head coach of the 2012 U.S. Olympic men's swim team that competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Ralph Mitterling American athlete and coach (1890–1956)

Ralph "Sarge" Mitterling was an American football, basketball, and baseball player and coach. He played Major League Baseball as an outfielder for the Philadelphia Athletics during the 1916 season. He served in the US Army during World War I. Mitterling was the head football coach at Ursinus College from 1919 to 1920, at Susquehanna University in 1923, and at East Stroudsburg State Teachers College—now East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania—from 1926 to 1935, compiling a career college football record of 47–52–7. He was also the head basketball coach at Ursinus from 1919 to 1921, tallying a mark of 17–28, and the head baseball coach at the University of Pittsburgh from 1939 to 1954, amassing a record of 89–106–1. Mitterling died on January 22, 1956 at Veteran's Hospital in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He served as the head football coach at Slippery Rock State Normal School —now known as Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania—from 1906 to 1907, Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania from 1908 to 1913, Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut from 1914 to 1915, Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania rom 1916 to 1917, and Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania from 1920 to 1923, compiling a career college football coaching record of 69–40–15.

Jedd Fisch American football coach

Jedd Ari Fisch is an American football coach who is currently the head coach at the University of Arizona. Fisch previously served as the quarterbacks coach for the New England Patriots and as an assistant offensive coordinator and senior offensive assistant for the Los Angeles Rams. In addition, Fisch served as the interim head football coach at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for the final two games of the 2017 season. He was the quarterbacks coach, wide receivers coach, and passing game coordinator under head coach Jim Harbaugh at the University of Michigan from 2015 to 2016. Fisch has served several stints as an assistant coach in both the professional and college ranks.

The 1909 Penn Quakers football team represented the University of Pennsylvania in the 1909 college football season. The Quakers finished with a 7–1–2 record in their first year under head coach and College Football Hall of Fame inductee, Andy Smith. Their only loss was to Michigan by a 12 to 6 score, a game that snapped Penn's 23-game winning streak and marked the first time a Western team had defeated one of the "Big Four". Other significant games included a 12 to 0 victory over West Virginia, a 3-3 tie with Penn State, a 29 to 6 victory over Carlisle, and a 17 to 6 victory over Cornell. They outscored their opponents by a combined total of 146 to 38. End Harry Braddock was the only Penn player to receive All-America honors in 1909, receiving second-team honors from Walter Camp.

The 1909 Lehigh Brown and White football team was an American football team represented Lehigh University as an independent during the 1909 college football season. The team compiled a 4–3–2 record. Byron W. Dickson was the head coach.

Andrew Breiner is an American football coach who is the assistant quarterbacks coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Florida International University (FIU) in 2021 and pass game analyst for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020.

David Reiner Faringer Sr. was an American football player and coach. Faringer played college football at Ursinus College, where he was also served as the head football coach in 1906. Faringer graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1909 and later had a general medical practice in Philadelphia. He died on May 11, 1969.

Nelson Kerr Thompson was an American football, basketball and baseball coach. He served as the head football coach at Ursinus College from 1916 to 1917 at his alma mater, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, from 1920 to 1945, compiling a career college football coaching record of 133–64–5. Thompson was the head basketball coach at Ursinus from 1916 to 1918 and Slippery Rock from 1919 to 1926 and from 1930 to 1946, tallying a career college basketball mark of 269–144.

Harold I. Zimmerman was an American football and basketball coach. He served as the head football coach (1912–1913) and head basketball coach (1912–1914) at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. He later served as the head football coach at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.

Sterling R. Brown is a former American football coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1969 to 1973 and Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania from 1982 to 1987, compiling a career college football coaching record of 38–56–2. Brown was last head coach in the history of the Drexel Dragons football program.

Adele Boyd American field hockey player

Adele Pack Boyd was an American field hockey player, coach, and official. She played on the U.S. women's national field hockey team from 1959 to 1967 and was a charter member of the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame. She later served as a professor at Ursinus College and was the school's field hockey coach for 17 years.
