The Continental Basketball Association (CBA), originally known as the Eastern Pennsylvania Basketball League, and later as the Eastern Professional Basketball League and the Eastern Basketball Association, was a men's professional basketball minor league in the United States from 1946 to 2009.
James William Cartwright is an American former professional basketball player and a former head coach of the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A 7'1" center, he played 16 seasons for the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Seattle SuperSonics, helping the Bulls capture consecutive championships in the 1991, 1992 and 1993 seasons. He attended Elk Grove High School in Elk Grove, California, and played college basketball at the University of San Francisco.
Arvydas Romas Sabonis is a Lithuanian former professional basketball player and businessman. Recognized as one of the best European players of all time and one of the best big-man passers in the history of the game, he won the Euroscar six times and the Mr. Europa Award twice. He played in a variety of leagues, including the Spanish ACB League, and spent seven seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Playing the center position, Sabonis won a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics, in South Korea, for the Soviet Union, and later earned bronze medals at the 1992 Olympic Games and 1996 Olympic Games representing Lithuania. He retired from professional basketball in 2005. Sabonis was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 1986 NBA draft, but he did not play his first NBA game until 1995, at the age of 30.

Wardell Stephen Curry Sr. is an American former professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1986 until 2002 and retired as the Charlotte Hornets' all-time leader in points (9,839) and three-point field goals made (929). Curry currently works as a color commentator, alongside Eric Collins, on Charlotte Hornets television broadcasts. He is the father of NBA players Stephen Curry and Seth Curry.
Sedale Eugene Threatt is an American former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Threatt played college basketball at the West Virginia Institute of Technology from 1979 to 1983. Nicknamed "The Thief" for his ability to steal the basketball, Threatt has the distinction of being the last sixth round pick to play in the NBA. He is also notable as the only player in NBA history who was a teammate of Julius Erving, Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson. He played in the NBA from 1983–1997 and finished his basketball career overseas.

Alfredo William "Tito" Horford is a Dominican retired professional basketball player who was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 1988 NBA draft. Horford played three years in the National Basketball Association (NBA), two with the Bucks from 1988 to 1990, and a short stint with the Washington Bullets during the 1993–94 season. He played in Spain in 1992. He was listed on the Bucks' summer 1992 roster.

Maurice "Mo" Martin is an American former professional basketball player. He played at Saint Joseph's University from 1982 to 1986 and was an Associated Press honorable mention All-American in his senior year. The 1986 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, he was a three-time selection to both the All-Conference team and the All-Big 5 squad. He is one of five Saint Joseph's Hawks to be chosen in the first round of the NBA Draft 1986 NBA draft. Martin played two seasons in the NBA, averaging 3.0 points per game in 69 games for the Nuggets. Martin was then selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1989 NBA expansion draft, but never played for the team, and ended up retiring completely from the NBA at the age of just 24 due to chronic knee pain. He is still the only player from Sullivan County, NY to ever play in the NBA.
