Steven Brinkman (born 12 January 1978) is a Canadian male volleyball player. He was part of the Canada men's national volleyball team at the 2002 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship and 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship. [1]

Canada mens national volleyball team

The Canada men's national volleyball team represents Canada in international volleyball competitions. The team placed third in the Pan American Games in 1979, 1999, and 2015. Canada's other achievements include a fourth place at the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games and two bronze medals at the Pan American Games in 1979 and 1999. They have participated in four Olympic Games, including most recently a fifth-place finish at Rio 2016, after returning to the Games following a quarter-century absence. Canada hosted the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto where they beat Puerto Rico for the bronze medal. Canada competed at the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup in 2015 for the first time in 12 years, finishing seventh. They last appeared in 2003, also finishing seventh. They finished joint-seventh at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship.

2010 FIVB Volleyball Womens World Championship

The 2010 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship was the 16th edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship. Like the previous tournament, the 2010 edition also was held in Japan, from 29 October to 14 November 2010, though the range of venues and locations was modified slightly. Twenty-four teams participated in the tournament.

24 teams competed in the 2002 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, with two places allocated for the hosts, Argentina and the titleholder, Italy. In the qualification process for the 2002 FIVB World Championship, the Five FIVB confederations were allocated a share of the 22 remaining spots.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Mens World Championship

The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was the 19th staging of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held in Italy and Bulgaria from 9 to 30 September 2018. For the first time, the tournament was jointly-hosted by more than one country. The final six was hosted by Italy at the Pala Alpitour in Turin.

The Canada men's national junior volleyball team is the men's national under-21 volleyball team of Canada. The team is controlled by Volleyball Canada, which represents the country in international competitions - Junior NORCECA Championship and FIVB U21 World Championships. The Canadian junior national team is ranked 7th in the FIVB world ranking.
