Steven Cyril DeLong was an American professional football defensive lineman who played in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). He was a first round draft selection in both the AFL and NFL drafts in 1965. He played collegiately for the University of Tennessee, and professionally for the San Diego Chargers and Chicago Bears. On 28 August 2016, in the townland of Barconey (Robinson), about 3½ miles to the south of Ballyjamesduff in the far south of County Cavan in Ireland, Alan Hawe (40) murdered his wife, Clodagh, and their three sons, Liam (13), Niall (11), and Ryan (6), before dying bysuicide.
