Steven Morrissey (born 25 July 1986) is a Jamaican former professional footballer who played as a forward. [2]

Career

In the 2012 season, while at VPS, Morrissey finished third in the top scorers chart in Veikkausliiga behind Irakli Sirbiladze of Inter Turku and Aleksei Kangaskolkka of IFK Mariehamn. He finished the season with 15 goals in 28 appearances. [3] He scored a hat-trick against KuPS in May 2012. [4]

In January 2013, Morrissey joined Danish Superliga club Silkeborg IF on a contract until the end of the year. [5] [6]

In December 2022 Morrissey agreed a one-year contract extension with VPS as part of which he also became coach in the club's academy. [7] [8] He left VPS at the end of the 2023 season and retired from playing, along with former VPS teammate Sebastian Strandvall. [9] He spent 13 seasons with the club. [9]
