Stephen Aiello (born April 30, 1983) is an American songwriter, musician, and record producer. He is best known for touring and recording with American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars. He was one of the founding members of Monty Are I, a band he formed in 1998 with some friends. Aiello has also worked with artists such as Mumford & Sons, Cheyenne Jackson, Lana Del Rey, Junkie XL, Young Guns, Cobra Starship, Every Avenue, Starset, and The Knocks, among others.
Aiello was nominated for two GMA Dove Awards for his work with Rapture Ruckus on the album Invader (2015). His list of work includes projects with recording acts like Sleeping with Sirens, Of Mice & Men, We Came as Romans, Anti-Flag, Blessthefall, Pop Evil, and Before Their Eyes.
Stevie Aiello was born April 30, 1983, in Cranston, Rhode Island. His family has Italian origins; his great-grandparents moved from Serrastretta to United States in the early 20th-century. Aiello attended the Cranston High School West and then enrolled at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston. While he was a student there, he started writing music and playing in a number of rock and metal bands. His influences include artists as varied as Underoath, Metallica, Josh Groban, Hans Zimmer, and Michael Jackson. [1]
Aiello founded Monty Are I in 1998 with guitarist Ryan Muir, keyboardist Andrew Borstein, bassist Mike Matarese, and drummer Justin Muir. Aiello was the lead singer of the band and played rhythm guitar. After winning Ernie Ball's Battle of the Bands in 2003, Monty Are I signed to Stolen Transmission, an imprint of Island Records. [2]
Monty Are I went on to play Warped Tour and shared the stage with bands like Anberlin, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, Hawthorne Heights and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. [3] Aiello recorded the albums Wall of People (2006) and Break Through the Silence (2009) as frontman and composer of Monty Are I. He later joined music publishing company Razor & Tie as songwriter and record producer. During this period, he worked with Ben Lovett from Mumford & Sons, Cheyenne Jackson, Lana Del Rey, Junkie XL, Alex Suarez from Cobra Starship, Every Avenue, and The Knocks. [4]
Aiello collaborated with Before Their Eyes on the albums Untouchable (2010) and Redemption (2012) alongside producer Joey Sturgis. [5] In early 2013, He moved to Los Angeles where he started working with Thirty Seconds to Mars after former touring member Tim Kelleher left the band to work on his own music. [6] Aiello is playing bass guitar, keyboards and occasionally rhythm guitar. He later began to take part at recording sessions with the band. In 2014, Aiello joined producer Rob Graves to work with Starset on the album Transmissions (2014), [7] and again in 2019 for Starset's third studio album, Divisions .
He worked with Crown the Empire on the albums The Resistance: Rise of the Runaways (2014) and Retrograde (2016). His work with Rapture Ruckus on their fifth album Invader (2015) earned him two nominations at the GMA Dove Awards in the categories of Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year and Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year. [8] [9] Aiello rejoined Joey Sturgis to work with Blessthefall on their fifth album To Those Left Behind (2015). He later worked on the records Echoes (2016) by Young Guns and Gossip (2017) by Sleeping with Sirens. [10]
In 2018 he started a side project called CNTRLLR and on 19 October of the same year he released a new version of "Stuck" by The Aces on Spotify and YouTube. On April 26, 2019 he released a new song called "Endgame".

Fearless Records is an American independent record label that was founded in 1994. Fearless is based in Culver City, California, and is best known for its early pop punk moments captured in the Fearless Flush Sampler and Punk Bites releases, as well as additional releases by bands such as Bigwig and Dynamite Boy; and later Sugarcult; Plain White T's; The Aquabats; Amely; and post-hardcore releases by At the Drive-In and Anatomy of a Ghost. However, the label has experimented with different styles in recent years. Acts such as Blessthefall, The Word Alive, Ice Nine Kills, Mayday Parade, Pierce The Veil, Starset, The Pretty Reckless, Underoath and The Color Morale have showcased post-hardcore, metalcore, hard rock and alternative rock bands that have emerged in recent years. Fearless Records' releases were distributed in the US by RED Distribution, but after Concord Music Group's purchase of the label in 2015, it is now distributed by Universal Music Group worldwide.
Cranston High School West is a public high school located in Cranston, Rhode Island, United States. The school comprises five buildings; one of these buildings is the Cranston Area Career and Technical Center. The school grounds include six tennis courts, a baseball field, and a track and football field. West has 155 staff members who work with the student population of approximately 1850 daily. The program of studies encompasses 203 different courses. The Cranston Area Career and Technical Center offers 17 different courses. All courses are geared toward student academic abilities. Fifty-two percent of graduates go on to pursue a four-year degree while twenty-two percent pursue a 2-year degree.
Blessthefall is an American metalcore band from Phoenix, Arizona, signed to Rise Records. The band was founded in 2004 by guitarist Mike Frisby, drummer Matt Traynor, and bassist and vocalist Jared Warth. Their debut studio album, His Last Walk, with original vocalist Craig Mabbitt, was released April 10, 2007. Their second studio album, Witness, with current vocalist Beau Bokan, was released October 6, 2009. Their third studio album, Awakening, was released on October 4, 2011. Their fourth studio album, Hollow Bodies, was released on August 20, 2013. To Those Left Behind is the band's fifth studio album, released on September 18, 2015. Their sixth studio album, Hard Feelings, was released on March 23, 2018. Following Traynor's departure, Warth became the band's only remaining original member. In May 2023, the band returned from a brief hiatus with the release of "Wake the Dead", their first song in five years.
Monty Are I is an American rock band from Cranston, Rhode Island. The band is named after the groups’s former music instructor, Arthur Montanaro. The "Are I" portion of the name is a pun on "RI", Rhode Island's postal abbreviation.
Rapture Ruckus was a Christian hip hop and rock band from Wellington, New Zealand signed to BEC Recordings. They have released four albums: Rapture Ruckus in 2002, I Believe in 2006, Rapture Ruckus Live at World's End in 2008, and Rapture Ruckus in 2010 as debut album with BEC Recordings. I Believe won an award for Best Gospel/Christian Album at the New Zealand Music Awards, Rapture Ruckus Live at World's End debuted at No. 7 on the New Zealand album charts and Rapture Ruckus (2010) was nominated for a Dove Award for Best Rap/Hip Hop Album. Headed by Brad Dring, they have been a headline act at Parachute Music Festival several times and now in the US at Jesus Jam, Creation Festival, Sonshine Festival Three Rivers Festival and Festival One.
Joey Sturgis is an American record producer and owner of The Foundation Recording Studio in Connersville, Indiana. Sturgis started recording in 2004 including producing the Asking Alexandria single "The Final Episode" which has gone on to earn an RIAA certified Gold Record. He also received RIAA-certified Gold Records for Asking Alexandria's "Not the American Average", "Moving On" and Of Mice & Men's "Second and Sebring". He has recorded over 100 albums in his career, and was known for doing a majority of the workload by himself in his early years, including engineering, mixing, mastering, and production.

The band has found success in expanding the ideas of their concept albums through social media and YouTube, with the band generating over $230,000 in revenue from views from the latter as of November 2016.
