Clay County is located in the U.S. state of Missouri and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the county had a population of 253,335, making it the fifth-most populous county in Missouri. Its county seat is Liberty. The county was organized January 2, 1822, and named in honor of U.S. Representative Henry Clay from Kentucky, later a member of the United States Senate and United States Secretary of State.

Courtois Creek is a 38.6-mile-long (62.1 km) stream in southern Missouri, United States. It shares its name with the nearby town of Courtois and is in the Courtois Hills region of the Missouri Ozarks. According to the information in the Ramsay Place Names File at the University of Missouri, the creek was "doubtless named for some French settler, but his identity has not been ascertained".
Dogwood is an unincorporated community in northwestern Douglas County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Missouri Route 14, approximately 15.5 miles (24.9 km) northwest of Ava and 8.5 miles (13.7 km) southwest of Seymour. The old store building sits at the intersection of Route 14 with route BB and the Dogwood cemetery is 1,300 feet (400 m) to the west at the intersection of routes 14 and Z.
Cedar Creek is a stream in Boone and Callaway counties of the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of the Missouri River. The headwaters of Cedar Creek are in northeast Boone County about five miles east of Hallsville and one mile west of the Audrain-Boone county line. The stream flows south and about five miles south of its headwaters the stream becomes the boundary between Boone and Callaway counties. The stream crosses under Interstate 70 about eight miles east of Columbia and enters the Mark Twain National Forest. The stream flows south to southwest through the national forest and upon leaving the forest turns to the east and ceases to be the county line. The stream flows east for about one mile then turns south and flows under U. S. Route 63 and into the Missouri River four miles northwest of Cedar City and across the river from Jefferson City. The Katy Trail crosses Cedar Creek just north of its confluence with the Missouri.
Locust Creek is a stream in Wayne County, Iowa and Chariton, Linn, Livingston, Putnam and Sullivan counties in Missouri. It is a tributary of the Grand River.
Finley Creek is a stream in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. The headwaters of the Finley are in Webster County southeast of Seymour. The stream flows west-southwest into Christian County, through Ozark and into the northeast corner of Stone County to its confluence with the James River at the old townsite of Jamesville. The Finley is bridged by Missouri Route 125 at Linden, Missouri Route 14 and US Route 65 in Ozark, and US Route 160 southwest of the old Riverdale dam.

Bryant Creek has headwaters just west of Lead Hill and southeast Cedar Gap in southwestern Wright County and flows in a southeasterly direction through Douglas County east of Ava and joins the North Fork River in Ozark County just north of Tecumseh and within the waters of Norfork Lake. Tributaries include Bill Macks Creek, Hunter Creek, Rippee Creek, Fox Creek, Brush Creek, Spring Creek and Pine Creek.
