Stian Johansen (born 12 October 1971) is a Norwegian musician known under the stage names Occultus, Cultoculus and Culto Prietsu, among others. He is the vocalist in the black metal bands Thyabhorrent and Perdition Hearse. He was also briefly the vocalist and bassist for the black metal band Mayhem for some months in 1991 after the suicide of previous singer Per Yngve "Dead" Ohlin. During this time, he was one of the co-founders of the infamous record store Helvete ("hell") in Oslo - an important meeting place for many in the Norwegian black metal scene at the time.
He has also been in many other bands such as Con Anima, Shadow Dancers, Soul Transition, Life, Sorg, Einar Grimm Group, Pussycunts, and Kardinal, to name a few.
As of 2020, Thyabhorrent and Perdition Hearse are once again active bands after having originally split up in the early/mid 1990s. He also runs a record label and distribution service called Old House Records.

Per Yngve Ohlin, better known by his stage name Dead and nickname Pelle, was a Swedish metal musician, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem from 1988 until his death in 1991. Prior to Mayhem, he also performed as vocalist in the Swedish death metal band Morbid. Dead was a popular figure of the Norwegian black metal scene, and his legacy remains prominent in the genre to this day. Roadrunner Records ranked him No. 48 out of 50 of The Greatest Metal Front-Men of All Time.
Øystein Aarseth, better known by his stage name Euronymous, was a Norwegian musician. Euronymous was a founder of and central figure in the early Norwegian black metal scene. He was a co-founder and guitarist of the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem and was the only constant member from the band's formation in 1984 until his death in 1993. He was also founder and owner of the extreme metal record label Deathlike Silence Productions and record shop Helvete.

Jørn Stubberud is a Norwegian musician best known as the bassist in the black metal band Mayhem under the stage name Necrobutcher. He is one of Mayhem's founding members, along with Euronymous and Manheim. He is the band's only remaining original member, as Messiah and Manheim left Mayhem, respectively, in 1986 and 1988, and Euronymous was murdered in 1993. Sear Bliss is a Hungarian atmospheric black metal band from Szombathely, Hungary, formed in 1993 by bassist, vocalist and now also keyboardist András Nagy. Apart from the usual heavy metal instruments they adopted synthesizer and wind instruments in their songs. The Netherlands' leading metal magazine, Aardschok awarded Sear Bliss debut album Phantoms the title of "CD Of The Month". It was the first time in the magazine's history that the award went to a black metal album.
Lars Eikind, also known as Lars Eric Si, has been a part of the Scandinavian rock/metal scene for many years both as musician and producer. He has been involved in numerous bands, either as a full-time or session member.
Pure Fucking Mayhem is a 2008 documentary created by Stefan Rydehed which gives an inside look at the second wave Norwegian black metal band, Mayhem. The movie includes interviews with the band members as well as some previously unseen pictures of the early black metal scene.
Lords of Chaos is a 2018 horror-thriller film directed by Jonas Åkerlund and written by Dennis Magnusson and Åkerlund. Adapted from the 1998 book of the same name, the film is a historical fiction account of the early 1990s Norwegian black metal scene told from the perspective of Mayhem co-founder Euronymous. It stars Rory Culkin as Euronymous, Emory Cohen as Varg Vikernes, Jack Kilmer as Dead, and Sky Ferreira as Ann-Marit.
Daemon is the sixth full-length studio album by Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. Their major label debut, it was released by Century Media Records on 25 October 2019 in digital formats while a manufacturing problem delayed the physical release until 8 November 2019.
