Like its Eastern Caribbean neighbours, the main priority of Dominica's foreign relations is economic development. The country maintains missions in Washington, New York, London, and Brussels and is represented jointly with other Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) members in Canada. Dominica is also a member of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, and the Commonwealth of Nations. It became a member of the United Nations and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 1978 and of the World Bank and Organization of American States (OAS) in 1979.
Roseau is the capital and largest city of Dominica, with a population of 14,725 as of 2011. It is a small and compact urban settlement, in the Saint George parish and surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, the Roseau River and Morne Bruce. Built on the site of the ancient Island Carib village of Sairi, it is the oldest and most important urban settlement on the island of Dominica.
City of Worthington Hills is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,446 at the 2010 census, down from 1,594 at the 2000 census.
The House of Assembly is the legislature of Dominica. It is established by Chapter III of the Constitution of Dominica, and together with the President of Dominica constitutes Dominica's Parliament. The House is unicameral, and consists of twenty-one Representatives, nine Senators, and the Attorney General as an ex officio member. Windsor Park is a multi-purpose stadium in Roseau, Dominica. It serves as the national stadium and is used mostly for cricket matches. Other uses have included the World Creole Music Festival, the Finals of the Calypso Competition and the Miss Dominica pageant.
Portsmouth is the second largest town in Dominica, with 2,977 inhabitants. It lies on the Indian River on Dominica's northwest coast, in Saint John Parish. Cabrits National Park is located on a peninsula to the north of town. Portsmouth has its own sea port in Prince Rupert Bay.
Colihaut is a coastal village in northern Dominica within Saint Peter Parish midway between the towns of Roseau and Portsmouth. It has a population of 773 people.
Mahaut is a village on the west coast of Dominica. It has a population of 2,399, and was home to Dominica Colgate-Palmolive until the factory was closed in 2015 after Hurricane Erica.
Soufrière is a village on the southwest coast of Dominica. It is the capital of Saint Mark Parish and has a population of 1,416 people.
Wotten Waven is a village in Dominica's Roseau Valley. It has a population of 226 people.
Saint Joseph is the chief settlement of Dominica's St. Joseph Parish. Its population is 2,029.
Castle Bruce is a village on the east coast of Dominica. It is the largest settlement in St. David Parish, with a population of 1,339.
Canefield is a town located on the west coast of Dominica, north of Roseau and south of Massacre, overlooking Pringle's Bay. The largest settlement in St. Paul Parish, it has a population of 2,803. It is home to an industrial estate with Harris Paints Dominica Ltd., a branch of the Jehovah's Witnesses, as well as the island's second airport. Neighbouring locales include Cochrane, Checkhall, Massacre and Fond Colé.
Paix Bouche is a village in northern Dominica. It has a population of 306, and has one of the island's steepest roads. The name comes from the local Creole expression meaning "shut your mouth".
Dominica, officially the Commonwealth of Dominica, is an island country in the Caribbean. The capital, Roseau, is located on the western side of the island. It is geographically situated as part of the Windward Islands chain in the Lesser Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean Sea. Dominica's closest neighbours are two constituent territories of the European Union and Eurozone, the overseas departments of the French Republic, Guadeloupe to the northwest and Martinique to the south-southeast. Dominica comprises a land area of 750 km2 (290 sq mi), and the highest point is Morne Diablotins, at 1,447 m (4,747 ft) in elevation. The population was 71,293 at the 2011 census.

Castle Comfort is a community in Saint George Parish, Dominica. 789 inhabitants live there and in neighbouring Wall House.
The Dominica Museum is the national museum of Dominica, an island nation in the Caribbean Lesser Antilles. It is located in the capital, Roseau, on a quay in front of the Old Market of Roseau, which was the centre for slave trading during colonial times. Its building was formerly an old market building and a post office dating to 1810.
Dominica State College (DSC) is a national college in Stockfarm, Dominica. It is an amalgamation of The Technical College, The Dominica Teachers Training College, The Sixth Form College, and The Princess Margaret Hospital School of Nursing, through the Dominica State College Act of 2002. DSC is the largest educational institution in Dominica by active student population.
Stock Farm or Stockfarm is a northern suburb of Roseau, Dominica. It contains the national prison of Dominica Stock Farm Prison, the Dominica State College and a netball and basketball stadium. Woodbridge Bay and the main port of entry into Dominica lie off Stock Farm.
