Roosevelt Skerrit is a Dominican politician who has been Prime Minister of Dominica since 2004; he has also been the Member of Parliament for the Vieille Case constituency since 2000. Regionally, he has served as the chairman of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and most recently as chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in 2010. Skerrit is currently the longest-serving prime minister of Dominica.

The Dominica Grammar School (DGS) is a public co-education secondary school in Roseau, Dominica, established in 1893, one of the oldest educational institutions on the island. Contrary to its name, the school no longer functions as a traditional grammar school, as it has expanded its curriculum beyond its historical scope.

Darton State College Division of Nursing was the nursing program at Darton State College in Albany, Georgia. The final Darton class was graduated in December 2016 and in January 2017, Darton State College and Albany State University officially merged, retaining the Albany State University name. The Darton State College campus became Albany State University West Campus and the location of Darton College of Health Professions, one of the four academic colleges and units at the university as of July 2019.

Dominica–India relations refers to the international relations that exist between Dominica and India, both republics in the Commonwealth of Nations. The High Commission of India in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago is concurrently accredited to Dominica. Neither country hosts a resident diplomatic mission of the other.

The first Governor of the College was Vans T. LeBlanc, a native of Dominica who at the time of his appointment was also the Managing Director of the National Bank of Dominica. He was appointed to the Governorship by the Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of Dominica.
