Stotts Coaches was established in Huddersfield in 1984 by Eric Stott after he sold his shares in Stotts Tours. [2] The company provides coach services for schools in Kirklees along with day trips and private coach hire. The company also runs coach journeys for the town's football and rugby league teams. [3]

Stotts Coaches provide local bus services in the Huddersfield area serving Huddersfield town centre, Brighouse, Dalton, Holmfirth, Meltham and Slaithwaite. These services, along with the school bus service, are run on behalf of West Yorkshire Metro. [4]

Since 2010, Stotts Coaches has been a National Express contractor. [5] [6] It is also a Megabus contractor. [7]

Some services link with Megatrain services, also operated by Stagecoach. Fares use a yield management model, formerly starting at £1. In June 2016, Stagecoach Group sold all operations in the European mainland, as well as those services linking London with Europe, to German competitor Flixbus.
