"Stranded" is a song recorded by American musician and songwriter Dave Kerzner. The single is Kerzner's debut as a solo artist from his album New World.
The first track on the album New World, Stranded is a five-part rock opera [2] that introduces the album's theme as well as an individual known as "The Traveler". The Traveler moves through a future world with his experiences chronicled in Stranded as well as each song of the album. [3]
At the time of its release in 2014, the full-length album-version of the single was available as a downloadable EP in both MP3 and FLAC formats. [4] A video to accompany the single was released by Kerzner on YouTube as a lyric video feature in conjunction with the song's release on September 9, 2014. [4]
In its December 17, 2014, online review of "Stranded", The Prog Report noted the song's "obvious" influence from the band Pink Floyd and stated, "The opening of "Stranded" is haunting and commands attention...the quality of the production is evident." The review further stated that the "vocal barrage" at the end of the track showed Kerzner's ability to "separate himself from simply a reincarnation of his influences." [5]

The song was written by the band and produced by co-lead vocalist Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson, and co-produced by Rob Cavallo. "Wastelands" was sent to Sirius XM Radio radio stations in airplay on June 1, 2014, and was then released as the third official single on June 2. Although, a 44 seconds long preview of the song was aired before, and a minute long preview was used in the promotion of UFC on the date of release of the song. Later on the song was used as the theme song for "UFC". The cover of the song was available three days before the release of the song at SoundCloud. The song can be streamed on Sirius XM. It is also a playable song on the music video game Guitar Hero Live.
Hungry Ghosts is the fourth studio album by American rock band OK Go. The album features numerous collaborations with established artists such as Fernando Perdomo, Steve Hackett, Nick D'Virgilio, Durga McBroom and Keith Emerson. Two versions of the album were developed: a standard edition and a two-disc double album deluxe edition. The former was released in December 2014, and the latter was released in January 2015.
