Strange Fruit is the second solo album by Trijntje Oosterhuis and was released on March 22, 2004 on Blue Note records. Trijntje's solo debut album was well received, and consisted mainly of pop ballads not reflective of her personal fondness for jazz.
During 2003 Trijntje made a tour with the Amsterdam Sinfonietta and the Houdini's playing covers of Billie Holiday and George Gershwin. [1] Trijntje decided to record the January 7, 2003 concert in the Concertzaal in Tilburg and the January 8, 2003 concert in Stadsgehoorzaal in Leiden and release it as an album. The album was named after Billie Holiday's song "Strange Fruit."
Strange Fruit was very well received, received critical acclaim, with Trijntje gaining notoriety beyond The Netherlands. It was released outside the Netherlands under the artist name Traincha. [1] The album has been certified two times Platinum [2] and peaked at number 2 on the Dutch album charts. [3]

The Associates were a Scottish post-punk and pop band, formed in Dundee in 1979 by singer Billy Mackenzie and guitarist Alan Rankine. The group first gained recognition after releasing an unauthorized cover of David Bowie's "Boys Keep Swinging" as their debut single in 1979, which landed them a contract with Fiction Records. See You as I Do is the third solo album by Trijntje Oosterhuis and was released on October 9, 2005. During Trijntje's pregnancy she decided not to tour and perform, but use the time at home in her own studio to record an album. The album peaked at #5 in the Dutch album chart and was certified Gold. Trijntje started her musical career singing for Candy Dulfer's third album Big Girl and on Trijntje's third album, Candy is featured playing the saxophone on three tracks.
Edsilia Francisca Rombley is a Dutch singer and television presenter. She began her career in 1995, as a member of the Dutch girl group Dignity. Rombley began her solo career in 1996, after winning the Dutch talent show Soundmixshow, later winning the European Soundmix Show as well the following year.

"Walk Along" was written by 2013 Contest entrant Anouk who also first revealed that Oosterhuis had been selected to represent the Netherlands while being interviewed for the Dutch talkshow College Tour. Following confirmation from the Dutch broadcaster that Trijntje Oosterhuis had been selected to represent the Netherlands, the song "Walk Along" was revealed to public in December 2014. In the first of the Eurovision semi-finals, the Netherlands failed to qualify to the final, placing fourteenth out of the 16 participating countries with 33 points.
