Street Cinema is the only album by the American hip hop group Sporty Thievz.
Street Cinema was released on August 18, 1998, through Ruffhouse Records and was co-produced by Ski and Sporty Thievz member King Kirk. The album was one of the final to be released through Ruffhouse, as the label was shut down less than a year later.
Chart-wise, the album did not make much of an impact, only making it to 66 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and 16 on the Top Heatseekers. The album's lead single, however, did. "No Pigeons" peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the group their only top 40 hit during their brief existence, as well as #1 on the Hot Rap Singles. In addition to "No Pigeons", "Cheapskate" and its remix also became minor hits on the Billboard charts. [1]
"No Pigeons" was certified gold by the RIAA on July 9, 1999, for sales of over 500,000 copies.

AllMusic gave the album three out of a possible five stars, writing that "there's too much junk floating around the album to make the good stuff instantly recognizable... Still, that handful of good cuts makes the entire enterprise worth investigating once, even if you find that you won't return to this Street Cinema that often." [2]

Hard Core is the debut studio album by American rapper Lil' Kim, released on November 12, 1996, by Undeas Recordings, Big Beat Records, and Atlantic Records. After achieving success with the hip hop group Junior M.A.F.I.A. and their album Conspiracy (1995), Kim began working on her solo album with the Notorious B.I.G. serving as the executive producer. She collaborated with a number of producers, such as Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs, Stevie J., David "Ski" Willis and Jermaine Dupri, among others. Other rappers, including Jay-Z, Lil' Cease and Puff Daddy were featured on the album.

Sporty Thievz is a Yonkers, New York–based hip-hop duo—originally a trio—composed of King Kirk, Big Dubez and Marlon Bryant Brando. They are notable for their parody of TLC's hit "No Scrubs" titled "No Pigeons", which attempted to tell things from the male perspective, and their song "Hit It Up" on the soundtrack to The Best Man. They are also known for satirically providing a male counterpoint to the female-oriented R&B music popularised in the late 1990s and early 2000s, something that was not done by any other group at the time. The group have been acknowledged for their lyrical skill, also making other notable hits such as "Cheapskate", which also has a music video and was released under Ruffhouse Records.
"No Pigeons" is the second and final single by Sporty Thievz, released from their 1999 album Street Cinema. A rebuttal to TLC's smash hit single "No Scrubs", it received heavy radio play at the time of its release and peaked at #12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, at about the same time the TLC single was enjoying a successful chart run.
