Strictly Dance Fever is a British television programme, broadcast on BBC One on Saturday evenings. It was an amateur dance talent competition, hosted by Graham Norton, which ran during Spring 2005 and Spring 2006. It had 2 extra shows, The Saturday night BBC Three host was Zoe Ball and the nightly BBC3 roundup & fanzine program was hosted by Joe Mace. [1] It was, in many ways, similar to the BBC's popular Strictly Come Dancing , a celebrity based dance contest also broadcast on Saturday evenings. On 12 December 2006, the BBC announced that Strictly Dance Fever had been axed in favour of the Andrew Lloyd Webber talent search, How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? .

Strictly Dance Fever was normally broadcast during BBC One's Spring schedule. The auditions ran for two weeks. The recalls ran for two weeks as in the auditions. Finally, the dance-offs, ran for eight weeks, this time though live. The final edition aired in June, where the ultimate winning couple was revealed.
The maximum score for one dance, 40 points, has been achieved seven times throughout the series. Danny Last and Jodie Binstead (series 1 twice), Joseph Hall and Sadie Flower (series 1 once), Darren Bailey and Lana Williams (series 2 once) and then to Darrien Wright and Hollie Robertson (series 2 three times). Additionally, in the semi-final of series 2 Darren Bailey and Lana Williams were awarded a perfect 30 out of 30, when Stacey Haynes was ill. The lowest score achieved was 12, by Paul James Culshaw and Aravon McCann (series 2 once).
Strictly Come Dancing is a British dance contest show in which celebrities partner with professional dancers to compete in mainly ballroom and Latin dance. Each couple is scored by a panel of judges. The title of the show is a continuation of the long-running series Come Dancing. The format has been exported to 60 other countries under the title Dancing with the Stars, licensed by BBC Worldwide, and led to a modern dance-themed spin-off Strictly Dance Fever. The Guinness World Records named Strictly as the world's most successful reality television format in 2010. The series is currently presented by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Bruce Forsyth co-presented the series with Daly until 2014.
Hollie Victoria Robertson is an English dancer who won the second series of the BBC One dance talent show Strictly Dance Fever together with partner Darrien Wright. In the final they beat Darren Bailey and Lana Williams.
Vincent Simone is an Italian professional dancer, who has appeared on Strictly Come Dancing from 2006 until 2012. He moved to Guildford, Surrey, United Kingdom when he was 17. Simone and his professional partner Flavia Cacace, perform under the brand name Vincent and Flavia.

According to BARB data, this series was the consistently highest-rated of the show to date, peaking at 14.28 million viewers. Strictly Come Dancing returned for its ninth series on 10 September 2011 with a launch show, with the live shows beginning on 30 September and 1 October 2011. The show was broadcast from Wembley Arena on 19 November with all proceeds going to the BBC charity, Children in Need. The finale took place in the Tower Ballroom at the Blackpool Tower and was the first episode to air in 3D. It was shown on BBC HD and in cinemas around the country.

Dianne Claire Buswell is an Australian professional dancer. She is best known for her appearances on the British television show Strictly Come Dancing. After competing on Dancing with the Stars in Australia, she joined the British series in 2017, reaching the final in 2018 and 2023 with Joe Sugg and Bobby Brazier respectively.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the series launched a month later than usual and ran for only nine weeks instead of the usual thirteen. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman returned as hosts, while Zoe Ball and Rylan Clark-Neal returned to host Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two. Clark-Neal was replaced by Gethin Jones for four shows after coming into contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.
