Stumpy is an album by New Zealand band Tall Dwarfs released in 1996. The album is officially credited to the "International Tall Dwarfs", because sounds on cassette by 16 home tapers from around the globe were used to create the music, including CJA. [1] All songs were written by Bathgate and Knox. [2] [3]

Glen Matlock is an English musician, best known for being the bass guitarist in the original line-up of the punk rock band the Sex Pistols. He is credited as a songwriter on 10 of the 12 songs on the Sex Pistols' only officially released studio album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols, although he had left the band early in the recording process, credited as bassist and backing vocalist on only one song on the album, "Anarchy in the U.K.". Chris Knox is a New Zealand rock and roll musician, cartoonist and movie reviewer who emerged during the punk rock era with his bands The Enemy and Toy Love. After Toy Love disbanded in the early 1980s, he formed the group Tall Dwarfs with guitarist Alec Bathgate. The Tall Dwarfs were noted for their unpolished sound and intense live shows. His 4-track machine was used to record most of the early Flying Nun singles.

Tall Dwarfs are a New Zealand rock band formed in 1981 by Chris Knox and Alec Bathgate, who helped pioneer the lo-fi style of rock music. The duo were former members of Toy Love.

The Sky Above the Mud Below is an album by New Zealand band Tall Dwarfs released in 2002. It includes an International Tall Dwarfs EP called The Weidenhaüsen Impediment ("FREE!!!"), but it remains unclear whether this was also released separately. Friends of the band recorded sounds for this EP, which were then turned into songs by Bathgate and Knox. The Sky Above the Mud Below, is the most recent album released by the Tall Dwarfs.
