The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (abbreviated as CPI(M)) is a communist political party in India. It is the largest communist party in India in terms of membership and electoral seats,and one of the national parties of India. Biswa Bandhu Sen is an Indian politician. He serves as speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly. He won three consecutive elections,representing the 56-Dharmanagar constituency of North Tripura district. Prior to the 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election Sen won twice on the Congress ticket. On 2017 Sen joined Bharatiya Janata Party and won the 2018 Assembly elections by a margin of 7287 votes.
