Sudur Niharika (1976) [3] is an Indian Bengali language film directed by Sushil Mukherjee and produced by Anjana Bhattacharya. [4] [5] It stars Soumitra Chatterjee, Soma Dey, Sumitra Mukherjee, Dipti Roy Bikash Roy, Debashree Roy, Rabi Ghosh and Arindam Ganguly. Music of the film was composed by Manabendra Mukherjee with lyrics penned by Shyamal Gupta. [1] [6]

She acted in more than a hundred films and won over forty awards, including a National Award, three BFJA Awards, five Kalakar Awards and an Anandalok Award. As a dancer, she is known for her stage adaptations of the various forms of Indian folk dances as well as her innovative dance forms imbued with elements from Indian classical, tribal and folk dance. She runs Natraj dance troupe. She is the founder of Debasree Roy Foundation, a non-profit organisation that works for the cause of stray animals. Roy was a Member of the Legislative Assembly from Raidighi constituency since 2011 till 2021.

Nadi Theke Sagare is a 1978 Bengali feature film directed by Arabinda Mukhopadhyay. The film was written by Prasanta Chowdhury. The screenplay was written by Sunil Gangopadhyay and Arabinda Mukhopadhyay. It revolves around a prostitute who struggles to get her daughter married to a decent man. It stars Soumitra Chatterjee, Sandhya Roy, Debashree Roy, Mithun Chakraborty, Chhaya Devi, Rabi Ghosh and Anup Kumar. Debashree Roy was credited as Rumki Roy in the film. The music of the film was composed by Hemanta Mukherjee with lyrics penned by Pulak Bandyopadhyay and Arabinda Mukhopadhyay.

Ganadevata is a 1978 Bengali drama film directed by Tarun Majumdar, based on a novel by same name by Tarashankar Bandopadhyay. The film stars Soumitra Chatterjee, Ajitesh Bannerjee, Samit Bhanja, Rabi Ghosh and Anup Kumar in lead roles. The epic novel is set in the 1920s during the British Raj, about the breakdown of socio-economic structures, impact of industrialization and non-cooperation movement in rural Bengal. It had also won the writer Bandopadhyay, the1967Jnanpith Award.

Baghini is a 1968 Bengali drama film directed by Bijay Bose and produced by Girindra Singha. The movie is based on a same name novel of Samaresh Basu. Soumitra Chatterjee stars as the main hero, Chiranjib, and Sandhya Roy plays the film's heroine, Dugga. Jahar Roy plays Dugga's father, a liquor merchant; Rabi Ghosh plays Bhola, the villain. In the end, Bhola is killed by Dugga. She marries Chiranjib before going to jail.

Robin Chatterjee was an Indian music director and sound recordist who scored music for about ninety films. Starting from the 1942 film Parineeta, he has composed music for evergreen soundtracks such as Godhuli, Bipasha, Sagarika, Kamallata, Dwiper Nam Tiya Rang, etc.
