Suitcase Records is a vinyl record pressing facility in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is one of only three in Australia.
Suitcase Records was founded by Neil and Kathy Wilson in 2021 after they saw the growth and demand for vinyl in Australia. [1] At the time, there were only two vinyl record pressing plants in Australia, so the Wilsons started the third Australian pressing plant, based in Pinkenba, Brisbane. [2] [3] They began operating in July 2022, with the first record pressed being Girl and Girl's EP 'Divorce'. [4]
They master all records with Masterdisk in New York, who cut the lacquer, send it to NiPro Optics to create stampers for Suitcase Records to press in Brisbane with their Allegro Line II machine. Artwork is printed in Holland. [5] Suitcase Records have one press, and can press one record every 30 seconds. [6]
The Brisbane River is the longest river in South East Queensland, Australia, and flows through the city of Brisbane, before emptying into Moreton Bay on the Coral Sea. John Oxley, the first European to explore the river, named it after the Governor of New South Wales, Sir Thomas Brisbane in 1823. Doomben, or dumben, is the Indigenous Yuggera name for a tree fern which was prolific in the area. The railway line branches from the North Coast line at Eagle Junction, extending 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) to the industrial suburb of Pinkenba, situated on the northern bank at the mouth of the Brisbane River. It is part of the Queensland Rail Citytrain network.

Kindercore Vinyl is a vinyl record pressing plant based in Athens, Georgia. It began as an independent record label, founded in 1996 by Ryan Lewis and Daniel Geller to help create a unified music scene of Athens. After the dissolution of the record label, Lewis and Geller partnered with Cash Carter and Bill Fortenberry to revive Kindercore as a vinyl pressing plant. Kindercore Vinyl is the only vinyl pressing plant in the state of Georgia. As of 2023, the plant operates as Classic City Vinyl Works under different ownership.
