As in previous years, a CD featuring 40 songs was released. A DVD, containing film clips of songs from the Hottest 100 was also released. A countdown of the videos of each song was shown on the ABC music series Rage in March.

It was originally broadcast from 1965 to 1967 on ABC in the USA, with repeats airing until 1969. The series debuted on 25 September 1965 and new episodes ended on 21 October 1967. A total of 39 episodes were produced. The series was shown on Saturdays at 10:30 AM EST until the 1967 third season when it was moved to 12:00 PM EST. For the 1968–69 fourth season, which consisted of repeats, the series was shown at 9:30 AM EST on Sundays. Each episode has a name of a Beatles song, so the story is based on its lyrics and it is also played at some time in the episode. The original series was rebroadcast in syndication by MTV in 1986 and 1987 and on The Disney Channel beginning in 1989 on Fridays at 5 PM. The series was a historical milestone as the first weekly television series to feature animated versions of real, living people.

The band began early 1993 from the ashes of Harrisburg-based band 23 Skidoo which included Steve Ward, Ross Sackler, Dave Sheaffer and Joe Pisapia. Pisapia went on to form Nashville-based Joe, Marc's Brother. Ward and Sackler recorded their lo-fi bedroom-recording and was released on Planet Earthy in 1993; guitarist Michael Giblin signed on for the follow-up, 1999's At Home With Cherry Twister. At Home With Cherry Twister gained an entry in the Top 200 powerpop lists of 1999.

Greg Hanna is a male Canadian country music singer. Signing with his own independent label in 1995, Hanna charted several singles on the RPM Country Tracks chart in Canada, including the top ten hit "Ain't No Justice" from 1997, but his debut album was never issued. In 2005, Hanna appeared on the third season of Nashville Star, but dropped out after receiving an offer to work with producer Chris Farren. In 2007, Hanna toured Canada as the opening act for Canadian country band Emerson Drive's Countrified Tour. Hanna's debut self-titled album was issued in October 2009 in the United States and Canada on his own US record label imprint, Pheromone Records LLC; with MegaForce Records and Sony. From his debut CD in the US and Canada came the releases "It's a Man's Job," "What Kind of Love Are You On" and "Makin' Love Real." Their supporting music videos which earned Hanna exposure on television networks such as CMT, GAC and TCN. In 2010, Hanna signed with the Paradigm agency for representation and booked his first major USA tour as opening act on the American Ride Tour for Toby Keith and Trace Adkins.
Cinderella's Eyes is the debut studio album by English recording artist Nicola Roberts. It was released on 23 September 2011 by Polydor Records. As a member of the British girl group Girls Aloud, Roberts drew inspiration from her time with the group. Her experience with Girls Aloud's formation found her being labelled "ugly" by the media, and the constant negative attention and subsequent personal problems resulted in her struggling with her confidence. She started recording for the album in 2010 and co-wrote all of the original tracks on the album, working closely with producers Dimitri Tikovoï, Maya von Doll and Diplo on the album, as well as Canadian electropop band Dragonette. The concept of the album derived from fairy tales, focusing mostly upon "Cinderella" after titling the album Cinderella's Eyes. The album artwork features Roberts next to a collection of vintage artefacts wearing a modern interpretation of the Cinderella glass slipper, co-produced by shoe designer Atalanta Weller.
