Zambia is a developing country,and it achieved middle-income status in 2011. Through the first decade of the 21st century,the economy of Zambia was one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa,and its capital,Lusaka,the fastest-growing city in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Zambia's economic performance has stalled in recent years due to declining copper prices,significant fiscal deficits,and energy shortages. The economy has been reliant on mineral extraction since the 1920s,in particular copper.

Peter Zuze Air Force Base is an airbase located in the city of Ndola in the Copperbelt Province in northern Zambia. It used to be the premises of the Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport until late 2021,when Ndola's airport moved its operations 15 km (9.3 mi) to the west and this old airport address ceased to be a commercial airport. It now belongs to the Zambian Air Force.
Given Lubinda is a Zambian politician who served in the Cabinet of Zambia as Minister of Justice. He is a former Member of Parliament for the National Assembly of Zambia for Kabwata Constituency in Lusaka. He was first elected as Kabwata MP in 2001 under the UPND ticket and was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2012 to 2013. Following the retirement of Edgar Lungu from active politics after the 2021 election,Given Lubinda was the acting president of the former ruling party,the Patriotic Front. However,Edgar Lungu returned to active politics in October 2023 and he was handed back the Patriotic Front presidency,with Given Lubinda being appointed as the party's vice-president,a position he held before Lungu's retirement after the 2021 election. Lubinda is of mixed-race parentage. He is known as an outspoken politician.
Ndola District is a district of Zambia,located in Copperbelt Province. The capital lies at Ndola. As of the 2022 Zambian Census,the district had a population of 624,579 people.
Chipata District is a district of Zambia,located in Eastern Province. The capital lies at Chipata. As of the 2022 Zambian Census,the district had a population of 327,059 people.
Bernard Chanda was one of Zambia's greatest strikers and was the league top scorer three times. Nicknamed 'Bomber,' he played for three of Zambia's biggest clubs –Roan United,Mufulira Wanderers and Rokana United,and is remembered for scoring a hat-trick in the 4–2 semi-final victory over Congo at the 1974 African Cup of Nations tournament. Chanda was voted Zambian Footballer of the Year in 1974 and is fourth on the list of all-time goal scorers for Zambia in international matches behind Godfrey Chitalu,Alex Chola and Kalusha Bwalya with 29 goals.
Benjamin Yoram Mwila,often known as BY,was a Zambian politician and businessman. Mwila was a prominent leader and co-founder of the Zambia Republican Party. He served as an MP for Luanshya in the National Assembly. Mwila held several cabinet portfolios within the cabinet of President Frederick Chiluba during the 1990s,including Minister of Defence from 1991 to 1997.
Edgar Chagwa Lungu is a Zambian politician who served as the sixth president of Zambia from 26 January 2015 to 24 August 2021. Under President Michael Sata,Lungu served as Minister of Justice and Minister of Defence. Following Sata's death in October 2014,Lungu was adopted as the candidate of the Patriotic Front in a Convention of the Patriotic Front in Kabwe,for the January 2015 presidential by-election,which was to determine who would serve out the remainder of Sata's term. In the election,he narrowly defeated opposition candidate Hakainde Hichilema and took office on 25 January 2015.
Miles Bwalya Sampa is a Zambian politician,currently serving as Member of Parliament for Matero Constituency and president of the Patriotic Front. The veteran politician previously served as Mayor of Lusaka,having been elected in August 2018. His election in 2021 would see him return to Parliament representing Matero Constituency,a position he served from 2011 to 2016.

Emmanuel Tawanda Chenda is a Zambian politician and diplomat. He served as Member of the National Assembly for Bwana Mkubwa between 2011 and 2016. He also held the posts of Minister of Agriculture and Livestock,Minister of Commerce,Trade and Industry and Minister of Local Government and Housing between 2011 and 2015. In November 2017 he was appointed Ambassador to neighbouring Zimbabwe.
Mathew Sampa Mulanda was a Zambian politician. He served as Member of the National Assembly for two different constituencies between 1996 and 2006 and was Deputy Minister for Copperbelt Province between 1997 and 2006.
Zambia is potentially self-sufficient in sources of electricity,coal,biomass and renewable energy. The only energy source where the country is not self-sufficient is petroleum energy. Many of the sources of energy where the country is self-sufficient are largely unexploited. As of 2017,the country's electricity generating capacity stood at 1,901 megawatts.
The T2 is a trunk road in Zambia. The road runs from the Tunduma border with Tanzania via Mpika,Kabwe and Lusaka to the Chirundu border with Zimbabwe. The road is the longest route of the country,as it is approximately 1,155 kilometres (718 mi). The route from Mpika to Kafue is a toll road. The route from Tanzania to Lusaka is Zambia's Great North Road and is part of the Tanzam Highway.
The T3 is a trunk road in Zambia. The road runs from Kapiri Mposhi via Ndola,Kitwe and Chingola to Kasumbalesa on the border with DR Congo. The entire route is a toll road.
The M4 road is a road in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. The road connects the city of Ndola with the city of Mufulira and extends to connect Mufulira with the city of Kitwe. As it is a v-shaped route,the M4 road starts and ends at a junction with the T3 road.
Given Katuta Mwelwa is a Zambian politician and member of parliament for Chiengi. She was first elected to parliament in 2016.
Charles Milupi is a Zambian politician. He is the current Minister of Infrastructure,Housing and Urban Development of Zambia since September 17,2021 and is a nominated member of parliament. He is the president of the Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) and the chairperson of the UPND Alliance.
Arthur Davison Children's Hospital is a public,3rd level hospital located in Ndola,Zambia that was established in 1924. Created by the Mine Workers Union as a minor clinic it served only children who were children of the miners. The clinic blossomed 1933 when it became a hospital named after Arthur Davison –a noted mine manager who championed for care for minors.
