The Sunshine Coast Stingrays is an Australian rugby union football team that represents Queensland's Sunshine Coast region. The Stingrays played in the Queensland Premier Rugby competition from 2005 to 2013, but now focus on competing in the Queensland Country Championships.

Contents

The Stingrays played in the Grand Final in their sixth season in the Premier Rugby competition in 2010. However, after facing funding difficulties in 2013, the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union decided not to compete in the 2014 season. [1]

The Queensland Reds is the rugby union team for the Australian state of Queensland that competes in the Southern Hemisphere's Super Rugby competition. Prior to 1996 they were a representative team selected from the rugby union club competitions in Queensland. Queensland Country Championships

The Queensland Country Championships, also known as the Graincorp Country Championship, is a rugby union competition for teams from regions of Queensland outside of Brisbane. The Queensland Country Rugby Union administers the competitions at Senior and Colts levels. Eleven country sub-unions are grouped into three regional divisions in Northern, Central, and Southern Queensland for the championships.

The Australian Provincial Championship, or APC, is a now-defunct rugby union football competition played in Australia. It was one of several provincial competitions since the late 1960s, including the Wallaby Trophy and Ricoh National Championship, that have not continued.

Brendan McKibbin Scottish rugby union player

Brendan McKibbin is a professional rugby union footballer. He plays for London Irish in the Aviva Premiership. He previously played for the Waratahs and the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby. His regular playing position is scrum-half.

Sunshine Coast Rugby Union

The Sunshine Coast Rugby Union, or SCRU, is the local governing body for the sport of rugby union on Australia's Sunshine Coast. The SCRU runs an amateur club rugby competition for men's teams with two senior grades. There are also rugby 7s programs for male and female players at senior and junior levels, and school competitions for boys and girls at primary and secondary levels. A junior club competition caters for teams grouped by age from under 6 to under 14.

Gold Coast and District Rugby Union

The Gold Coast and District Rugby Union, or GCDRU, is the local governing body for the sport of rugby union on Australia's Gold Coast. The GCRU runs a club rugby competition for men's teams with three senior grades, as well as a junior club competition that caters for teams grouped by age from under 6 to under 17.

The Queensland Suburban Rugby Union, or QSRU, is affiliated to the Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) and runs the rugby competition colloquially known as "Subbies" in Brisbane and South East Queensland.

Dan McKellar is an Australian professional rugby union coach. He is currently the head coach of Super Rugby team the Brumbies and was previously head coach of the University of Canberra Vikings in Australia's National Rugby Championship.

Wynnum Rugby Union Club

The Wynnum Rugby Union Club, known as Wynnum Bugs, is a rugby union football club located in Wynnum, in Queensland, Australia. The original Wynnum club was one of the founding teams of the Brisbane Premiership that was formed by the revived Queensland Rugby Union in 1929.
