The Superliga Nacional de Futebol Americano (National American Football League, previously Liga Brasileira de Futebol Americano, Brazilian American Football League) is an American football league in Brazil. It was created by eight teams which played the Torneio Touchdown.
It follows the structure of the NFL Season - with Conferences, Wildcards and a single-game final, called Brasil Bowl. Cuiabá Arsenal is the first champion of Brasil Bowl.
Its current winner is João Pessoa Espectros.

The Taça Brasil was the Brazilian national football championship contested from 1959 to 1968.
The Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa, also known as Taça de Prata, or nicknamed Robertão, was an association football competition contested in Brazil between 1967 and 1970 among soccer teams from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais and Paraná states. It was an important soccer tournament, being considered a predecessor to the Brazilian Championship induced in 1971. Thus in 2010 the Brazilian Football Confederation decided to consider the winners of the Robertão as Brazilian champions. The 1st edition of the tournament was organized by Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and Federação Paulista de Futebol.

Touchdown Tournament was an American football league composed of teams from different Brazilian states. The league format was developed by the leaders Flavio "Skin" Cardia of the Fluminense Imperadores, and Mario Lewandowski of the São Paulo Storm, who chaired the Steering Committee of the League. The project was presented to the public during the Tournament Selections AFAB in April 2009, by signing a statement of commitment by the representatives of the 10 teams involved. Eight of the 10 teams declared themselves able to participate in the Touchdown Tournament in 2009.

Galo Futebol Americano is a professional American football team competing in the South Conference of the national league, which it won in 2017. Based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil the team was founded in 2009. Galo FA is associated with Brazil's football team Clube Atlético Mineiro. Its coach is the American Daniel Levy. In the team's inaugural and only season as a partner with Cruzeiro, they managed to achieve a great feat and went undefeated.
