Superstar is the first studio album by the Nepalese rapper VTEN, released on January 20, 2020, by Trap Nepal. [1] It is also the most viewed and streamed Nepalese hip hop album on platforms like YouTube and Spotify . [2] The album's sixth track, "Yatra", has over 44 million views in YouTube, [3] which is the most for any Nepalese hip hop song. [4]

Superstar is a concept album that analyzes and reflects on VTEN's journey of coming from a village to being a superstar of Nepalese hip hop [5] and also reflects on the local police arresting him for "allegedly promoting 'anti-social' values". [6]

Make America Psycho Again is the first remix album by Fall Out Boy, released on October 30, 2015. The album is a remixed version of the band's original album American Beauty/American Psycho, and features a different rapper on each song. The album drew in over 13,000 equivalent copies in the United States its debut week. The title alludes to the "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan used by then-presidential candidate Donald Trump during the 2016 election cycle. The album artwork features a red-tinted photo of the same face-painted boy from the original cover, holding a sparkler.

Emo rap is a subgenre of hip hop with influence from emo. Originating from the SoundCloud rap scene in the mid-2010s, the genre fuses characteristics of hip hop music, such as trap-style beats with vocals that are usually sung. The most prominent artists in the genre were Lil Peep, XXXTentacion, and Juice Wrld.

Latin trap is a subgenre of Latin hip hop music that originated in Puerto Rico. A direct descendant of southern hip hop, and influenced by reggaeton, it gained popularity after 2007, and has since spread throughout Latin America. The trap is slang for a place where drugs are sold. Latin trap is similar to mainstream trap with lyrics about life on la calle, drugs, sex and violence.

Thomas signed with RCA Records to release his debut studio album Anyways (2020), which was followed by Dr. Ev4l (2021), Rich Shooter (2021), EA Monster (2022), and Gumbo (2023). Daryl Jake Borja Ruiz, known professionally as Skusta Clee, is a Filipino rapper, singer-songwriter, actor and a member of the Filipino hip-hop collective Ex Battalion. He is known for his numerous hit singles "Zebbiana", "Pauwi Nako", and "Dance With You" and is notably regarded as the pioneer of the Pinoy trap genre, as he first started the mainstream trap movement in the country. He is also a member of O.C. Dawgs, a hip-hop group he formed in 2012.

Sameer Ghising, better known by his stage name VTEN, is a Nepalese rapper and actor. He is widely regarded as one of the prominent figures of Nepalese hip hop. He started gaining popularity after release of his song "Churot" in 2016. His songs like ''Simsime Pani", "Paara", "Hami Yestai ta honi bro", "Yatra", "Haalkhabar", "Kaatha" etc are major hits.

Girish Khatiwada is a Nepalese rapper, radio, television personality, and vlogger. He is consistently cited as the first rapper of Nepal and was labeled the "Godfather of Nephop" by The Diplomat Magazine. Khatiwada started his career at the age of 15 with his first track "Meaningless Rap" in 1994 and became mainstream with his counterpart Pranil Timalsena with other tracks like “ Ma yesto chu”Timi Jaha Pani Jaanchhau, Malai Bhot Deu, Hami Dherai Sana Chhu. Today, besides his career in the Nepalese rap music scene, Khatiwada is also one of the most influential vloggers from Nepal.

Old Cash Dawgs, more popularly known by the shortened term O.C. Dawgs, is a Filipino hip hop trio consisting of Skusta Clee, Bullet D, Tito Odnarb and Jnske that was formed in 2012. The collective is known for their numerous hit singles "Pauwi Nako", "Akala Ko Nung Una", "Kriminal", and "Hayaan Mo Sila", the collaborative trap track with Ex Battalion in 2017 that almost topped the now-defunct Billboard Philippines Top 20 chart.

Aasis Giri, professionally known as Aasis Beats, is a Nepalese record producer, songwriter, and sample maker from Kathmandu, Nepal. Aasis Beats is a multi-platinum and number 1 Billboard-charting music producer from Nepal. He worked with $uicideboys to co-produce their first number one charting album, New World Depression. He also worked with rapper Central Cee and Lil Baby to co-produce their 2024 hit song "Band4Band," and co-produced Indian singer Sunanda Sharma's hit single "Chandigarh ka Chokra"
