Suranga Sampath is a Sri Lankan blind cricketer. [1] He was part of the Sri Lankan team during the 2017 ICC World T20 for the Blind. [2] In the 2017 Blind T20 World Cup, he was the top scorer throughout the tournament with an aggregate of 733 runs with an average of excess 150. [3] He also scored 5 centuries during the tournament, the most by any player in a single Blind T20 World Cup series; thus becoming the only batsman to score 5 centuries in a single edition of a Blind T20 World Cup. He picked up 4 wickets during the tournament to be adjudged the man of the tournament. [4] [5] [6]

Suranga Sampath along with Ruwan Wasantha set the record for the highest ever partnership for any wicket in Blind T20I history as well as in Blind T20 World Cup history when they put on an unbeaten 334 runs for the first wicket in the 2017 Blind T20 World Cup. [7] He was also named as a player in the dream team during the 2017 Blind T20 World Cup. [8]

Suranga Sampath was also named as the member of the Sri Lankan blind cricket team for the 2018 Blind Cricket World Cup. During the first match for Sri Lanka in the tournament against Australia he scored 130 which propelled the team score to 485/7 in 40 overs and played a key role in a massive victory by a margin of 303 runs. He was more specifically a leg spin bowler and was also an outstanding fielder. Unfortunately, Chandana was an unused squad player in 1996 world cup. Chandana is considered to be one of the best leg spinners ever played for Sri Lanka. He was also a competent lower-order batsman, having scored a total of seven half-centuries at international level.

He is the one of the greatest batsman of the international cricket. During the time of his captaincy he was known for his tactical acumen, and was rewarded for following his captaincy instincts. As captain, Jayawardene led his national team to be the winners of the 2008 Asia Cup. Jayawardene made history as he was the first Sri Lankan in the history of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup to score a century which he did with his 100 runs against Zimbabwe in the 2010 tournament.

He was also a key member of the team that won the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 and was part of the team that made the finals of 2011 Cricket World Cup, 2009 ICC World Twenty20 and 2012 ICC World Twenty20. An occasional bowler who can deliver swinging match-winning spells, Mathews and Lasith Malinga hold the record for the highest ninth wicket partnership in ODI cricket. In July 2022, Mathews played in his 100th Test match for Sri Lanka. As captain, Mathews led his national team to be the winners of the 2014 Asia Cup.

Kande Arachchige Isuru Udana Tillakaratna is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who represented Sri Lanka internationally in limited over formats. He currently plays domestic cricket for Tamil Union and Wayamba. Primarily a left arm fast bowler, Udana evolved as an all-rounder in late 2018. On 31 July 2021, Udana announced his retirement from international cricket.

The 2017 Blind World T20 also known as 2017 Blind T20 World Cup was a T20I tournament which was also the second edition of the Blind T20 World Cup for blind cricketers, held in India from 30 January to 12 February. India defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets in the finals to win their second Blind T20 World Cup. Ten teams, hosts India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, Bangladesh, West Indies, South Africa, Nepal, Australia and New Zealand took part, playing in 48 matches.

Pathum Nissanka Silva is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who plays for Sri Lanka in all three formats of the game. He made his international debut for the Sri Lanka cricket team in March 2021 and currently slotted as the permanent opening batsman.

Deepak Malik is an Indian blind cricketer categorised in B3 division who is currently playing for India national blind cricket team.
