Surprise Attack Records, sometimes called SA Mob is an independent record label based in Philadelphia, although the bands are from Miami, Elkview, Erie, and even Adelaide, Australia. Surprise Attack Records signs Hardcore punk bands. In the early 2000s, the record label had close affiliations with Canadian record labels Goodfellow Records and Redstar Records. [1]

24-7 Spyz are an American rock band from the South Bronx, New York, formed in 1986, originally consisting of Jimi Hazel (guitars), Rick Skatore (bass), Kindu Phibes (drums), and P. Fluid (vocals). The band plays hard rock, heavy metal, funk metal and rap metal songs which incorporate elements of jazz, R&B, soul, reggae and hardcore punk. Kid Gorgeous is an American metalcore band from Buffalo, New York, United States. The group features a conglomerate mix of members from past and current bands Buried Alive (band), Every Time I Die and Anterrabae. Their first album, Friday Night Knife Fight, was released in May 2001. Their second studio album, This Feeling Gets Old, came out in June 2003. Both efforts were released on Southern California indie label Uprising Records. The band originally called it quits in 2003 with their last show being with Snapcase and Every Time I Die in November of that year. With a couple one-off reunion shows since then, the band has recently resurfaced with news in March 2010 that they were going to record and tour briefly in the summer. The band started recording an EP in December 2010 at GCR Audio in Buffalo, New York with Jay Zubricky and debuted two of the songs at their show with Every Time I Die on December 29, 2010. Subsequently, on December 30, 2010, the band released the song "Mermaid With A Switchblade" via their Facebook and Myspace pages. On February 1, 2012, Eulogy Recordings announced that it will be releasing the EP titled "Blue Romance" which includes three new tracks, a re-recorded classic, and a cover on June 5, 2012. It was announced via the band's Twitter and Facebook pages that Every Time I Die frontman Keith Buckley has lent vocals to a cover of Judas Priest's "Living After Midnight" which will be a bonus track on the EP.

The Black Dakotas is a 1954 American Technicolor Western spy film directed by Ray Nazarro and produced by Columbia Pictures. Set during the American Civil War and filmed at the Iverson Movie Ranch, the film stars Gary Merrill as a cold-blooded secret agent using the war for his own ends. It also stars Wanda Hendrix and John Bromfield. The film features The Lone Ranger television series Jay Silverheels and Clayton Moore in separate roles as well as Richard Webb of Captain Midnight.

The lynching of Marie Thompson of Shepherdsville took place in the early morning on June 15, 1904, in Lebanon Junction, Bullitt County, Kentucky, for her killing of John Irvin, a white landowner. The day before Thompson had attempted to defend her son from being beaten by Irvin in a dispute; he ordered her off the land. As she was walking away from him, he attacked her with a knife and she killed him in self-defense with a razor. She was arrested and put in the county jail.

Raymond Emile Poole better known by his stage name Mo B. Dick is an American rapper, singer, and music producer. He is a founding member of the production team the Medicine Men, which produced most of No Limit Records' releases from 1995 to 1999. During his stint at No Limit Records, he not only produced tracks, but was also a featured artist on over a dozen songs, As a member of Beats by the Pound, the production team collectively produced nearly all of the label's tracks. Mo B. Dick's own repertoire lists his production credits on over 170 recordings and has his own record label Out The Box Xploitations. Currently Mo B. Disembodied is an American metalcore band formed in 1995 in Minneapolis. Originally featuring Aaron Weseman (vocals), Justin James Kane (drums), Tara Johnson (bass), Joel Andrew Johnson (guitar) and Mario Diaz de León (guitar), the band split up in 1999 and reunited in 2008 and 2018, respectively.

Winston Pounds was an African-American man who was lynched by a mob in Wilmot, Arkansas, on August 25 or 26, 1927.
