Susan Calo-Medina was a Filipino television host, actress and writer.

Calo-Medina studied Drama in the Catholic University of America. [4]

Career

Calo-Medina was a marketing director of the Cultural Center of the Philippines [2] and was a member of the Philippines' National Commission on Culture and the Arts’ Committee on Communication. [5]

She was the host of travel shows Tipong Pinoy [5] and Travel Time . [3] [4] [6] [7] [8]

Personal life

Calo-Medina was married to Juan Eulogio "Johnny" A. Medina, together they had three children: Consuelo, Marcos, and Luisa. [2]

Accolades

Calo-Medina was awarded posthumously the Dangal ng Haraya Lifetime Achievement Award by National Commission on Culture and the Arts. [9] She was also a posthumous recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award by St. Scholastica's College, Manila's St. Hildegarde Awards for Women in Media. [10]

Jesusa Purificacion Levy Sonora-Poe, known professionally as Susan Roces, was a Filipino actress. She was the wife of Ronald Allan Kelley Poe, better known as Fernando Poe Jr. Roces was regarded as the "Queen of Philippine Movies" and starred in more than 130 films and television programs. She won five FAMAS Awards, including two Best Actress wins. Luna Awards honored her with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her long-standing career and contribution to Philippine cinema. In 2005, Roces was one of the first inductees on Eastwood City Walk of Fame. She played the character "Lola Flora" on the ABS-CBN television series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano since the pilot episode in 2015. Months prior to her death in 2022, Roces was honored by The Philippine Post Office with a commemorative stamp.

Magkano ang Iyong Dangal? is a 1988 Filipino romantic drama film directed by Laurice Guillen and starring Christopher de Leon, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Joel Torre, Jestoni Alarcon, Princess Punzalan, and Michael Locsin. Adapted from the "komik" of the same name by Gilda Olvidado, the film is about the adulteries committed by married couple Paolo and Era, played by de Leon and Padilla respectively. It was released on December 25, 1988 as part of the 14th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
