Susan E. Lynch (born [ when? ]) is an American pediatrician and the wife of John Lynch,the Democratic former governor of New Hampshire. Susan Lynch was the First Lady of New Hampshire from 2005 to 2013. [1]
Since 2011,Lynch has been a pediatric lipid specialist at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Bedford,New Hampshire. [2] She was a pediatric lipid specialist at the Cholesterol Treatment Center at Concord Hospital in Concord,New Hampshire from 2005 to 2011.
Lynch grew up in Saugus,Massachusetts,a Boston suburb. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a Bachelor's degree in Biologic Science in 1973,and the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester,Massachusetts with a Doctor of Medicine in 1986. [3] She started her pediatric internship at Tufts-New England Medical Center's Floating Hospital in Boston and finished her pediatric residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover,New Hampshire. She practiced general pediatrics at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Concord before going on to complete the lipid training programs at Johns Hopkins Medical Center and through the National Lipid Association. Lynch was the First Lady of New Hampshire from 2005 to 2013. Lynch was a strong advocate of proper nutrition and physical exercise and the danger of childhood obesity. [5] She served as the spokesperson for the physical activity program "Walk NH," [6] which is designed to challenge New Hampshire families to have fun getting in shape. She endorsed legislation that would have required New Hampshire public schools to record the body mass index of students in grades 1,4,7 and 10 unless the child's parents objected. [7]
In November 2007,Lynch endorsed Hillary Clinton for President of the United States and became a national co-chairperson for the Clinton campaign. [8]
Lynch and her husband have three children,two daughters,Jacqueline and Julia,and a son,Hayden. Lynch lives in Hopkinton,New Hampshire. [9] [10] [1]
The City of Concord is the capital city of the U.S. state of New Hampshire and the seat of Merrimack County. As of the 2020 census the population was 43,976,making it the third largest city in New Hampshire behind Manchester and Nashua. Governor Benning Wentworth gave the city its current name in 1765 following a boundary dispute with the neighboring town of Bow;the name was meant to signify the new concord,or harmony,between the two towns.

Interstate 89 (I-89) is an Interstate Highway in the New England region of the United States traveling from Bow,New Hampshire,to the Canadian border between Highgate Springs,Vermont,and Saint-Armand,Quebec. As with all odd-numbered primary Interstates,I-89 is signed as a north–south highway. However,it follows a primarily northwest-to-southeast path. The route forms a substantial part of the main connection between the cities of Montreal and Boston. In Quebec,the route continues as Route 133. The eventual completion of Autoroute 35 from Montreal will lead to a nonstop limited-access highway route between the two cities,following I-93 south from I-89's terminus. The largest cities directly served by I-89 are Concord,the state capital of New Hampshire;Montpelier,the state capital of Vermont;and Burlington,Vermont. I-89 is one of three main Interstate highways whose route is located entirely within New England,along with I-91 and I-93.
Lebanon is the only city in Grafton County,New Hampshire,United States. The population was 14,282 at the 2020 census,up from 13,151 at the 2010 census. Lebanon is in western New Hampshire,south of Hanover,near the Connecticut River. It is the home to Dartmouth–Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth College's Geisel School of Medicine,together comprising the largest medical facility between Boston,Massachusetts,and Burlington,Vermont.
