Suthari is a village in Abdasa Taluka of Kutch district of Gujarat, India.^[2]

Abdasa Taluka is a taluka in Kutch District, Gujarat, India. Its administrative centre is the town of Naliya. The taluka covers 2,398.26 square kilometres (926 sq mi).

Kutch district is a district of Gujarat state in western India. Covering an area of 45,674 km², it is the largest district of India. The population of Kutch is about 2,092,000. It has 10 Talukas, 939 villages and 6 Municipalities. The Kutch district is home to the Kutchi people who speak the Kutchi language.

Gujarat is a state on the western coast of India with a coastline of 1,600 km (990 mi) – most of which lies on the Kathiawar peninsula – and a population in excess of 60 million. It is the sixth largest Indian state by area and the ninth largest state by population. Gujarat is bordered by Rajasthan to the northeast, Daman and Diu to the south, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Maharashtra to the southeast, Madhya Pradesh to the east, and the Arabian Sea and the Pakistani province of Sindh to the west. Its capital city is Gandhinagar, while its largest city is Ahmedabad. The Gujarati-speaking people of India are indigenous to the state. The economy of Gujarat is the fifth-largest state economy in India with ₹14.96 lakh crore (US$210 billion) in gross domestic product and a per capita GDP of ₹157,000 (US$2,200).

Dumara is a panchayat village in Gujarat, India. Administratively it is under Abdasa Taluka, Kutch District, Gujarat. The village of Dumara sits on the left (west) bank of the Chok River, an intermittent stream. It is 20 km (12 mi) by road southeast of the village of Kothara along National Highway 8A, and 38 km (24 mi) along the same road northwest of the town of Mandvi.

Shri Suthri Jain Derasar

Suthari is famous as Jain pilgrimage center^[2] as it holds one famous Jain temple where there are deities of Parshvanath, Padmavati, Kunthunath, Gautam Swami and Choumukhji. The temple built around year 1840^[3] is a two-storied structure richly embellished with intricate designs and sculptures both inside and outside.^[3]^[4] The chief architects and sculptors of the temple were, the Mistris of Kutch, a notable artisan community in the region.^[5]^[6]

Padmāvatī is the protective goddess or śāsana devī (शासनदेवी) of Pārśvanātha, the twenty-third Jain tīrthāṅkara, complimenting Parshwa yaksha, the shasan deva.

Darbargarh

Among other place of interests is the Darbargarh, the royal residence of Jadeja chief of the place, who were jagirdar during time of princely era of Kutch.

The Jadeja is a Rajput clan who claim to be descended from the Hindu god Krishna and thus to belong to the Yaduvanshi Rajputs, who in turn form a part of the Chandravanshi.

Cutch, also spelled Kutch or Kachchh, was a relatively large Indian princely state during the British Raj. Its territories covered the present day Kutch region of Gujarat north of the Gulf of Kutch. Bordered by Sindh in the north, Cutch State was one of the few princely states with a coastline.
