The Government of India,or simply the Centre,is the national administrative authority of the Republic of India,a federal democracy located in South Asia,consisting of 28 union states and eight union territories. Under the Constitution,there are three primary branches of government:the legislative (Parliament),the executive and the judiciary. The president of the republic is the nominal head of the executive branch however the prime minister is the de facto chief executive.
The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is the administrative arm of the All India Services of Government of India. Considered the premier Central Civil Service of India,the IAS is one of the three arms of the All India Services along with the Indian Police Service and the Indian Forest Service. Members of these three services serve the Government of India as well as the individual states. IAS officers are also deployed to various government establishments such as constitutional bodies,staff &line agencies,auxiliary bodies,public sector units,regulatory bodies,statutory bodies and autonomous bodies.

Following the filing of extortion cases against him,he was untraceable,and was declared as absconding by a Mumbai magistrate Court. Singh was suspended from his present position as head of home guard because of his absence by the government of Maharashtra.
