Sword of Legendia was a video game announced in 2006 by Namco Bandai Games, for the Wii. Despite the title's similarity to the Namco 2005 PlayStation 2 role-playing video game title, Tales of Legendia , it was confirmed by producer Tsutomu Gouda that it wasn't part of the Tales series. [1] In a Japan Expo 2011 interview, the game was revealed to have been cancelled.
Sword of Legendia was revealed during the Wii's preview event on September 13, 2006. [2] That same year, there was a video on the Wii's Japanese website showing various interviews with developers, one of whom was Makoto Yoshizumi, producer of Tales of Symphonia . During a discussion of the Wii Remote, he displayed a single piece of artwork for the game. [3] Little was said about Sword of Legendia after this, but it remained listed on Namco's Japanese website in their Wii games section, alongside Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World , which was revealed back in 2007. Tsutomu Gouda commented on the game in a 2008 interview regarding the then-upcoming Tales of Vesperia . He confirmed that he was in charge of the game, and that it was still in development, though the game would likely undergo a title change before release, as it was not meant to be associated with the Tales series. [5]
On May 19, 2009, website Cubed3 posted an interview with the producer of Fragile , Kentarou Kawashima, asking about if Fragile and Sword of Legendia were in any way related and if Sword of Legendia was even still in development. Kawashima responded that the two games were unrelated and that he could not disclose details about Sword of Legendia. [6]
In a French interview with Makoto Yoshizumi, it was revealed that Sword of Legendia had been cancelled for several years. [7] [8]

The game was localized and released in North America on July 13, 2004, and in Europe on November 19, 2004. In Japan, the game was ported for the PlayStation 2 with additional content and was released on September 22, 2004.

Tales of Legendia, is an action role-playing game that was developed and published by Namco for the PlayStation 2 as the seventh main title in their Tales series. Originally released in Japan in August 2005, it was later made available in English in North America in February 2006. The game was created by a development team known collectively as "Project MelFes", which was composed of members of Namco's Tales Studio along with developers from the company's Tekken and Soulcalibur fighting game series. It features character designs from anime artist Kazuto Nakazawa and music from composer Go Shiina, as well as songs performed by Do As Infinity, Donna Burke, and Kanon. Its producers gave it the characteristic genre name RPG Where Bonds Spin Legends.
Tales of Rebirth is a Japanese action role-playing game published for the PlayStation 2. It is the sixth main entry of Namco's Tales series of video games. The game was developed by Namco Tales Studio and published by Namco Games. The game was released for the PlayStation 2 on December 16, 2004, and then later re-released on the PlayStation Portable on March 19, 2008. Rebirth, set in a world populated by humans (Huma) and beast people (Gajuma), follows the adventures of Veigue Lungberg, a human whose friend Claire Bennett is kidnapped by agents of Agarte, heir to the throne of the kingdom of Karegia. Setting out to rescue Claire, Veigue and those who join him becomes entangled in escalating racial conflicts consuming the land.
Tales of the Abyss is an action role-playing game developed by Namco Tales Studio as the eighth main title in their Tales series in celebration of the series' 10th anniversary. Originally released for the PlayStation 2, the game was published by Namco in Japan in December 2005, and Bandai Namco Games in North America in October 2006. Its development team included director Yoshito Higuchi, producer Makoto Yoshizumi, and character artist Kōsuke Fujishima. The game features music by series composers Motoi Sakuraba and Shinji Tamura, and includes the opening theme song "Karma" by Bump of Chicken, which is replaced with the instrumental version in the western release. Namco has given Tales of the Abyss the characteristic genre name To Know the Meaning of One's Birth RPG. A port for the Nintendo 3DS handheld was released in Japan in June 2011, followed by an Australian and European release in November 2011 and a North American release in February 2012.
Tales of the Tempest is an action role-playing game developed by Dimps and Namco Tales Studio, and published by Bandai Namco Games for the Nintendo DS exclusive in Japan. A spin-off "Escort" title of the Tales series, it was released on October 26, 2006. The game makes use of the Tales series' recurring Linear Motion Battle System, customized so characters and actions can be controlled and determined using the DS touch screen, as well as incorporating multiplayer elements. The opening of the game was made by Production I.G and uses the music VS composed by Koda Misono.
Namco Tales Studio Ltd., formerly known as Wolf Team, was a Japanese video game development company founded in 1986. The company was renamed in 2003 when Telenet Japan sold part of its stake and made Namco the majority shareholder. Namco Tales Studio was originally the primary developer of the Tales RPG series, as it had been since the series' beginning. In November 2011, it was announced that the current Tales Studio would be dissolved and would merge with their publisher, Namco Bandai Games. In February 2012, it was announced that the 80 people of the Tales team would join Bandai Namco Studios.

Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon is an action role-playing game for the Wii developed by Namco Bandai Games in co-operation with Tri-Crescendo. The game was released by Namco Bandai Games in Japan on January 22, 2009. It was later published by Xseed Games in North America on March 16, 2010, and in Europe by Rising Star Games on March 19, 2010, followed by its release in Australia on October 7, 2010.
Tales of Vesperia is an action role-playing game developed by Namco Tales Studio. The tenth mainline entry in the Tales series, it was released for the Xbox 360 and published in Japan and North America by Namco Bandai Games in 2008, and in European territories by Atari in 2009. An expanded port of the game for the PlayStation 3 was released in 2009 in Japan. An enhanced version, subtitled Definitive Edition, was released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows in January 2019. The gameplay is similar to previous Tales games, featuring a new version of the series' trademark action-based "Linear Motion Battle System", while also introducing new elements such as online leaderboards.
Tales of VS. is a crossover fighting game featuring various characters across the Tales video game series. It was developed by Matrix Software and published by Namco Bandai Games for the PlayStation Portable on August 6, 2009 in Japan. It was not localized for release in any other regions.
Namco Generations was a brand name created by Namco Bandai Games for modernized remakes of their older video games. It was introduced in 2010 in conjunction with Pac-Man Championship Edition DX for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Galaga Legions DX was the second game to use the brand, being released in 2011. Two other games were in production under the Namco Generations label, a Metro-Cross sequel named Aero-Cross and a remaster of Dancing Eyes, both of which were cancelled.
Hideo Baba is a Japanese video game producer and president of the game development company, Studio Istolia. He formerly worked at Namco Bandai Studios where he was hired by them before their merge to be primarily involved with the production of the Tales of video games. He joined Namco in 2001. From Tales of Innocence (2007), he was the brand manager and the producer of the Tales of video game series.
Yuri Lowell is a fictional character introduced in the 2008 role-playing game Tales of Vesperia by Namco Tales Studio. The protagonist of the story, Yuri is a young adult from the Lower Quarter of the Imperial Capital, Zaphias. He leaves the town with a noble named Estellise in order to find a thief who stole an important instrument to his people. Across the story, he is willing to help those in need, even if he has to take extreme measures to do so, adopting a vigilante-like attitude in many situations. He also forms a guild known as Brave Vesperia when aiding Estellise. Yuri and his childhood friend Flynn are also the protagonists of the anime film Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike which details their backstories as an imperial knight protecting a town alongside his comrades.
The Idolmaster is a Japanese media franchise that began in 2005 with a raising simulation and rhythm video game series created by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The series primarily centers on the career of a producer who works with a group of prospective pop idols at the talent agency 765 Production. Originally released as an arcade game, the franchise has grown to numerous ports, sequels and spin-offs across multiple video game consoles, including several social network games. The series includes a variety of other media such as an anime with the same name, printed media, audio dramas, a Korean drama, and radio shows.

Its offices in Malaysia and Singapore, Bandai Namco Studio Malaysia and Bandai Namco Studios Singapore, are based out of Selangor, Malaysia and Infinite Studios, Singapore respectively. Bandai Namco Studios is a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Entertainment, which itself is a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings. The company works under its parent company as a keiretsu; Bandai Namco Studios creates video games for home consoles, handheld systems, mobile devices and arcade hardware, while Bandai Namco Entertainment handles the managing, marketing and publishing of these products.
