Syed Faisal Ali is an Indian politician who is a member of the Bihar Legislative Council. He is also the National General Secretary for the Rashtriya Janata Dal. [1] [2] [3]

Ali was born in Patna, India. His father Syed Ashahad Ali was a lawyer at the Patna High Court and the vice president of the Janata Party. [4] [5]

Political career

Ali joined the RJD. He contested for the 2019 Indian general election from Sheohar Lok Sabha constituency but lost to Rama Devi. In 2023 he contested the election for the Bihar Legislative Council and was elected as an MLC. [6]

He was a former Member of Legislative Council (MLC), the post, to which he was elected in 2016. He was incarcerated in Beur Jail until August 2020. However he was then released from the jail on bail. He was associated with many political parties in his 50 year long political career; Janta Paty, Rashtriya Janta Dal, Janata Dal(United) and VIP. He was nine times MLA from Bochahan constituency of Muzaffarpur district in Bihar.

Samrat Choudhary, also known by his alias Rakesh Kumar is an Indian politician, who is currently serving as Deputy Chief minister of Bihar under Nitish Kumar. Ajay Kumar Singh is an Indian politician, currently a member of Rashtriya Janata Dal and a Member of Legislative Council in the Bihar Legislative Council.

Sachchidanand Rai is an Indian politician and a Member of the Bihar Legislative Council from Bihar. Rai has won Member of the Bihar Legislative Council in 2022 as Independent Candidate and in 2015 as Bharatiya Janata Party Candidate.
