Sylhet International University (SIU) is a first private university located at Shamimabad, Bagbari, Sylhet, Bangladesh. It was established under The Private University Act of 1992. [1] SIU is affiliated with University Grants Commission of Bangladesh. The first vice-chancellor was Sadruddin Ahmed Chowdhury. The current vice-chancellor is Md. Shahid Ullah Talukder. [2] [3] The SIU campus is located in the heart of Sylhet city, providing students with access to the city's amenities while fostering a conducive learning environment. The campus is equipped with modern facilities, including state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, a library, and computer centres.
