TJ Tatran Bohunice is a Czech sports club from the district of Bohunice in Brno, founded in 1929 as SK Slavoj Brno-Bohunice. [1] As of 2024 the football club plays in the Czech Fourth Division. The club plays its home games at the Tatran Bohunice Stadium with capacity of 600 people. [1]

History

The club competed in the regional championship, the fifth tier of Czech football, between 2014 and 2022. After playing a single season, 2022–23, in the Czech Fourth Division, the club had an administrative promotion to the third tier. In their sole season playing in the Moravian-Silesian Football League the club finished last, ensuring their immediate relegation to the Fourth Division. [3]

Other sports

TJ Tatran is best known for the success of the association football department within the club. However, TJ Tatran does have departments for other sports such as men's and women's handball. [4]

SK Tatran Poštorná was a football club from Poštorná in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. The club played in the Czech 2. Liga between 1995 and 2000. After finishing third in the 1995–96 Czech 2. Liga, the club had the chance for promotion to the Czech First League, but club chairman Rudolf Baránek instead elected to sell the first league license to fourth-placed side Bohemians 1905. The club was relegated from the second league at the end of the 1999–2000 season. They then played in the third-tier Bohemian Football League until being relegated in 2005.
