TV ERA is a television channel based in Skopje, North Macedonia that broadcasts exclusively in the Albanian language. [1] its audience is mainly the country's Albanian population. Among the channel's most famous broadcasts have been the live music show called Black and White, which features popular singers, and the festival Nota Fest. One of its most notable show conductors is Arian Demolli, originally from Albania.

Top Channel is a national commercial television station based in Tirana, Albania, founded by businessman Dritan Hoxha in 2001. A part of Top Media Group, in January 2008 Top Channel was awarded national frequency coverage by making it the third such channel in Albania. In 2009, it was the first Albanian channel to become available in 16:9 widescreen high-definition television for selected programs. Since September 2003, Top Channel has been present on satellite by broadcasting all over Europe through DigitAlb, and North America through TV ALB and Shqip TV. The channel is available through IPTV in Europe and North America, and through local cable in Switzerland.

RTSH Albanian public broadcasting company

Radio Televizioni Shqiptar is an Albanian public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1938, it operates several radio and television channels, over a domestic transmitter network as well as satellite. The international television service via satellite RTSH Sat was launched in 1993 and is aimed at Albanian-speaking communities in Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and northern Greece, plus the Albanian diaspora in the rest of Europe. RTSH is funded by a combination of commercial advertising, an annual licence fee of US$10.00 and grant-in-aid from the Albanian government.

Big Brother Albania is the Albanian version of the international reality television Big Brother created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The show follows a number of contestants, known as housemates, who are isolated from the outside world for an extended period of time in a custom-built house. Each week, one of the housemates is evicted by a public vote, with the last housemate remaining winning a cash prize.

DigitAlb Albanian broadcast media company

DigitAlb is an Albanian media, digital satellite and terrestrial TV platform based in Tirana, Albania. The TV platform began terrestrial broadcasts in July 2004, and satellite broadcasts by the end of that year. At the same time, DigitAlb began broadcasting some channels of defunct AlbaniaSat's satellite platform SAT + which eventually went bankrupt. DigitAlb closely collaborates with sports package SuperSport while having introduced wireless DVB-H technology for wireless TV for the first time in Albania since 2006. The company forms part of Top Media Group together with Top Channel, Top Albania Radio, Top Gold Radio, Gazeta Shqip, Shqip Magazine, Top News, VGA Studio, My Music Radio, and musicAL. In Europe, Digitalb will broadcast until 2026 on Eutelsat.

TeleNorba or Telenorba Shqiptare or simply TNSH is a defunct private Albanian TV channel from Tirana, Albania launched in 1996 and owned by the Bari, Italy based TeleNorba Italia broadcaster. Originally, the channel was owned by Italian businessmen, then a Greek businessman, and finally by Albanian media mogul Aleksander Frangaj. The channel used to be available via analogue in central Albania, and later on satellite in Europe on the Albanian TV package DigitAlb.

Albania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo, Norway, with the song "It's All About You" performed by Juliana Pasha. Its selected entry was chosen through the national selection competition Festivali i Këngës organised by Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) in December 2009. To this point, the nation had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest six times since its first entry in 2004. Prior to the contest, the song was promoted by a music video and live performances both in Macedonia and the Netherlands.

SuperSport is an Albanian group of television sports channels operated by terrestrial telly platform DigitAlb. The channels broadcast a range of different sports such as the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, German Bundesliga&Bundesliga 2, Dutch Eredivisie, French Ligue 1&Ligue 2, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Euro, UEFA Europa Conference League, Copa América, ATP 500, ATP 1000, IAAF etc.

Çufo TV

Çufo is an Albanian TV channel for children from 1–14 years old. The rating system is divided into 3 groups: babies from 1–5 years old, kids from 6–9 years old, and teenagers from 11–14 years old. It was launched on December 18, 2006 by the TV platform Digitalb.

Gjons Tears Swiss-Albanian singer

Gjon Muharremaj, known professionally as Gjon's Tears, is a Swiss singer and songwriter. He was scheduled to represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song "Répondez-moi" prior to the contest's cancellation. He was internally selected again as the country's representative for the 2021 contest with his song "Tout l'Univers". He finished in third place with 432 points, the best placing for Switzerland since 1993.

Big Brother VIP, also known as Big Brother Albania VIP or Big Brother VIP Albania, is a reality television spin-off series of the Albanian version of Big Brother Albania, based on the Dutch show Big Brother and created by producer John de Mol. The first season premiered on 5 October 2021 on Top Channel, hosted by Arbana Osmani. The show follows a number of celebrity contestants, known as housemates, who are isolated from the outside world for an extended period of time in a custom built house. Each week, one of the housemates is evicted by a public vote, with the last housemate remaining winning a cash prize of €100,000.
