Ta Xila is a couple dance from Lesvos. The Xila is accompanied by the famous instrument the Santouri. The tune is a distinct tune on the island of Lesvos. The dance can be done as a syrto style dance in couple and in groups of four. The Xila is also popular at weddings and social gatherings on the island.
It's a four-beat instrumental tune which according to oral tradition was created as a working song, based on a Turkish patinada. [1]

Sigri is a small fishing village near the western tip of Lesbos Island. Its name derives through Greek σίγουρος from the Venetian word siguro, meaning "safe", based on the fact that it has a safe harbour. Sigri has a Turkish castle, built in 1746 during the Ottoman occupation, which looks over the bay and the long island of Nissiopi, which stretches across the mouth of the bay and acts as a buffer to the prevailing winds. The port of Sigri is able to accommodate large vessels, even cruise ship-size ferry boats coming from the mainline. Almost all shipping to Lesbos, however, comes into the east of the island.

The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest is a geological museum located in the village of Sigri on the island of Lesbos in Greece. Established in 1994, it is a center for the study, management, and preservation of the petrified forest of Lesbos and for public education about the site. It is a founding member of the European Geoparks Network and is a member of UNESCO's Global Geoparks Network.

Aise ,Turkish: Atımı Bağladım Ben Bir Ormana, is an instrumental dance tune common throughout the eastern Mediterranean. Sections of its melody are found as part of “Selanik”(“Thessalonikê”), a tune from Macedonia; in apiece by the Ottoman Armenian composer Tatyos Efendi; and in the song, “Love’s Like a Pin,”from Asia Minor and Propontis. What was probably the first recording has also been identified: a 78 made in Cairo in 1910 under the title, “Bulbul Al-Afrah”, with the Jewish musician Ibrahim Sahalun ’s Takht on violin. In Lesvos, the tune is called “Aisé”. It may have had lyrics at some point in the past and was most commonly performed in the west of the island.
Kamilierikos or kamilieriko, is a kind of a Greek traditional dance, similar to fast zeibekiko and antikristos. Like zeibekiko, Kamilierikos is again in "9/8" signature and was danced by imprisoned rebetes. Riders of the camels (καμηλιέρηδες) used to dance it as well. Today, kamilierikos is very widespread in rebetiko and laiko music traditions.
