The Tacoma Stars are an American indoor soccer team founded in 2003 as a member of the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL-Premier). The team is named after the Tacoma Stars that played in the original Major Indoor Soccer League from 1983-1992. The Stars won two PASL-Premier Championships (Summer 2004 & Winter 2009-2010). [1]

The Stars made the transition to professional status and joined the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) for the 2010-11 season. In 2012–13 season, the head coach was Joe Waters as the team moved into the new Pacific Sports Center. [2]

The Stars went on hiatus on August 23, 2013. An amateur version of the club participated in the Premier Arena Soccer League as the Tacoma Galaxy in the 2013-14 season. [3] On January 10, 2014, the Pacific Sports Center was placed into receivership, putting the future of the facility and the franchise in question. [4]

In June 2014, it was announced that the Tacoma Stars would return to play in the Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) at the Tacoma Soccer Center.

In January 2015, team owner Lane Smith acquired the assets of the failed Seattle Impact of the Major Arena Soccer League and announced that the Stars would complete the Impact's 2014–15 season at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington, while completing their WISL obligations. [5] [6] [7] [8]

On July 24, 2018, it was announced that the Dallas Sidekicks would return for the 2018-2019 season.

Las Vegas Legends

The Las Vegas Legends are an American soccer team based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were founded in 2012 as an indoor soccer team as a member of the Major Arena Soccer League. During their time in the MASL, the Legends split their home games between the Orleans Arena and the Las Vegas Sports Park. The team is owned by Meir Cohen. The team included a mix of local, regional, and international players. The team did not return after the 2015–16 season.

Chicago Mustangs (2012–)

Chicago Mustangs is an American professional indoor soccer team based at the Sears Centre in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. They play in the Eastern Conference of the Major Arena Soccer League 2 (M2).

The 2012–13 Tacoma Stars season was the third season of the Tacoma Stars professional indoor soccer club as a franchise in the Professional Arena Soccer League. The Stars, a Pacific Division team, played their home games in the new Pacific Sports Center in Tacoma, Washington. The team was led by head coach Joe Waters.

The 2011–12 Tacoma Stars season was the second season of the Tacoma Stars professional indoor soccer club as a franchise in the Professional Arena Soccer League. The Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) is an American semi-professional indoor soccer league. It was formed on June 20, 2014 by a group of arena/team owners in the Pacific Northwest. The WISL began its first season on November 15, 2014 with five teams.

Seattle Impact

Seattle Impact FC was an American professional indoor soccer team that began play as a member of the Major Arena Soccer League with its 2014-15 season. Based in Seattle, Washington, the Impact played its home games at the ShoWare Center in nearby Kent. After struggles on and off the field, the team's assets were sold mid-season to Lane Smith whose Tacoma Stars completed Seattle's scheduled 2015 regular season games.

2014–15 Major Arena Soccer League season

The 2014–15 Major Arena Soccer League season is the seventh season for the league and the first since six teams from the former Major Indoor Soccer League defected to what was formerly called the Professional Arena Soccer League. The regular season started on October 25, 2014, and ended on March 1, 2015. Each team played a 20-game schedule. Also it is the 37th season of professional Division 1 indoor soccer in the USA and the first season for the MASL as the top league.

The 2014–15 Sacramento Surge season was the third season of the Sacramento Surge professional indoor soccer club. The Sacramento Surge, a Pacific Division team in the Major Arena Soccer League, played their home games in Jackson Sports Academy at McClellan Park in Sacramento, California.

The 2014–15 Las Vegas Legends season was the third season of the Las Vegas Legends professional indoor soccer club. The Las Vegas Legends, a Pacific Division team in the Major Arena Soccer League, split their home games between the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada, and the Las Vegas Sports Park in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 2015–16 Dallas Sidekicks season was the fourth season of the relaunched Dallas Sidekicks professional indoor soccer club. The Sidekicks, a Pacific Division team in the Western Conference of the Major Arena Soccer League, played their home games in the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas. The team was led by new head coach Simon Bozas and assistant coach Nick Stavrou. The team struggled to recover from off-season turmoil and finished with a 7–13 record, missing the playoffs for the first time in the arena era.
