Natuna Regency is an islands regency located in the northernmost part of the Province of Riau Islands, Indonesia. It contains at least 154 islands, of which 127 of them are reported as uninhabited. This archipelago, with a land area of 1,978.49 km2 out of a total area of 264,198.37 km2 area, contains 17 administrative districts (kecamatan).
Siau is an island in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, located in the Sangir Archipelago approximately 130 km (81 mi) off the northern tip of Sulawesi in the Celebes Sea. Covering a land area of 160 km2, it is the main island of the Sitaro Islands Regency of North Sulawesi Province.
Kualanamu International Airport — often spelled as Kuala Namu and informally abbreviated KNIA — is an international airport serving Medan, Indonesia, and other parts of North Sumatra. It is located in the Deli Serdang Regency, 23 kilometres (14 mi) east of downtown Medan. Kualanamu is the third-largest airport in Indonesia after Jakarta Soekarno–Hatta and Bandung Kertajati, and the fifth busiest airport in Indonesia as of 2018, as well as the first Indonesian airport to receive a four-star rating from Skytrax. The airport was opened to the public on 25 July 2013, handling all flights and services from Polonia International Airport, an airport located at the heart of Medan which was deemed dangerous. The airport was built on the former site of an oil palm plantation of company Perkebunan Nusantara II Tanjung Morawa. The airport is expected to become the new international transit center in Sumatra and the western part of Indonesia. It is part of the Indonesian central government's "Masterplan to Accelerate and Expand Economic Development in Indonesia" (MP3EI) program. The airport was also considered as a candidate for ASEAN Single Aviation Market (ASEAN-SAM), an open skies policy among member countries in the Southeast Asia region starting 2015.
Ruang is the southernmost stratovolcano in the Sangihe Islands arc, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. It comprises an island 4 by 5 kilometres wide. The summit contains a partial lava dome and reaches some 725 metres (2,379 ft) in altitude. From its summit, Klabat's peak in the south, that of Siau to the north, and Ternate to the east can all be seen.
Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin Airport, formerly known as Palmerah Airport, is in Jambi City in the Jambi province of Indonesia. It is located in the Paalmerah suburb of Jambi. The airport is named after Thaha Syaifuddin, the last Sultan of Jambi (1816–1904).
Ranai-Natuna Airport or Natuna-Ranai Airport, formerly Raden Sadjad Airport, is located in Ranai Kota, the capital city of Natuna Regency, on the Natuna archipelago in the Natuna Sea. The airport is also a Type B airbase of the Indonesian Air Force. The airport also serves civilian flights.
Sitaro Islands Regency is a regency located off the northern extremity of Sulawesi Island in the southern Sangihe Islands, North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The regency was formed under Law Number 15 Year 2007 from 2 January 2007, by separation from the Sangihe Islands Regency of which it had previously formed the southern part. The short form of the name is formed from one syllable from each of the names of the three principal islands — Siau, Tagulandang and Biaro.
The Sangihe Islands Regency is a regency of North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It comprises a group of islands situated to the North of Sulawesi. It covers a land area of 736.98 km2, and had a population of 126,100 at the 2010 census and 139,262 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 140,614. The principal island is also named Sangihe, on which lies the main town of Tahuna. Minor island groups within the Regency include the Marore group considerably to the north of Sangihe Island, the Tatoareng group to the south, and the Nusa Tabukan group off the northeast coast of Sangihe Island. It borders the Philippines in the north, making it one of Indonesia's border regions.
The Talaud Islands Regency is a regency of North Sulawesi province, Indonesia. The Talaud Islands form an archipelago situated to the northeast of the Minahasa Peninsula, with a land area of 1,251.02 km2. It had a population of 83,434 at the 2010 Census, increasing to 94,521 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2023 was 97,312.
Tagulandang is one of the Sangihe Islands, situated off the northern tip of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It forms three districts in the Sitaro Islands Regency of North Sulawesi province. It is located between the Celebes and Molucca Seas, and is separated from the Ruang stratovolcano by a narrow sea channel. The inhabitants speak Sangirese, and the 2010 census recorded a population of 19,795, while the 2020 Census revealed a population of 22,296 and the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 22,634. The above figures include the area and population of the offshore island of Pulau Ruang, the fourth largest island in the Regency, which lies to the southwest of Tagulandang and contains the active Ruang stratovolcano.
Wamena Airport is an airport serving the town of Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Highland Papua, Indonesia. The airport also serves the neighboring Lanny Jaya Regency and Tolikara Regency. It is currently the only airport in the highland region of Papua that can accommodate narrow-body aircraft such as the Boeing 737 and C-130 Hercules.

The airport serves as one of the point of entry to the Gayo highland, a tourism destination where it is known for its coffee and natural environment, such as Lake Laut Tawar. To boost tourism growth in the region, the airport was renovated between 2014 and 2016. The airport's terminal which originally only had an area of 400 m2 was expanded to 1000 m2.
Nop Goliat Dekai Airport is an airport serving the town of Dekai, the capital of Yahukimo Regency, Highland Papua, Indonesia. Nop Goliat Airport is one of the seven pioneer airports that connects 517 villages in Yahukimo. The airport was built on an area of 230 hectares between 2004–2010 by using a budget of Rp321 billion. The airport was built to be a logistics distribution center in the highland region of Papua, as well as supporting the mobility of people and goods. Construction of airports is intended as a logistics distribution center for central highland region of Papua Province, which previously concentrated through Wamena Airport.
Utarom Airport serves Kaimana, located in the province of West Papua in Indonesia. Due to increasing passengers, the airport was heavily modernized. The airport development has been done in stages, beginning in 2012, followed in 2014, and completed at the end of 2015. Currently, Utarom Airport has a modern passenger terminal design like that of Wamena Airport. Airport capacity has also been increased to accommodate 102 passengers during peak hours. The passenger terminal is made more comfortable in order to improve service to passengers. In total, the construction of a passenger terminal covering an area of 1,800 square meters costs around Rp 75.5 billion. The development of the airport was completed at the end of 2015 and was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on 30 December 2016.
The Piala Presiden is an annual pre-season association football tournament held in Indonesia and organized by the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI). Liga 1 clubs are entitled to participate. The inaugural tournament was held in 2015 to fill the vacuum of the Indonesia Super League when Indonesia was suspended by FIFA for government interference. The most recent tournament was held in 2024.
Miangas Airport is located on the island of Miangas, North Sulawesi. It is one of the most remote airport in Indonesia. The airport was built in 2012 with a construction investment of Rp 275 billion and opened on 12 March 2017. Wings Air opened its inaugural flight from Manado to Miangas Airport, with stopover at Melangguane Airport.
Toraja Airport, formerly Buntu Kunik Airport, is an airport at Mengkendek, Tana Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It was built to replace the Pongtiku Airport, which was closed due to lack of land for expansion to cope with increasing passenger demands. The airport started soft operations on 4 September 2020, and was officially inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on 18 March 2021.
Nusantara, officially the Capital City of Nusantara, is the future capital of Indonesia, located between Kutai Kartanegara Regency and Penajam North Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, on the island of Borneo. Nusantara is planned to be a special capital region at the provincial level, replacing Jakarta.
