Tania Evans (born 28 May 1967) is a British singer and songwriter. She gained popularity for fronting the German Eurodance group Culture Beat [1] from 1993 to 1997.
Evans' first release was the single "Can't Let Go" in 1992 on C.T Records. [2] Shortly after, she replaced Lana Earl in Culture Beat and found immediate success with their single "Mr. Vain", with Evans on vocals. "Mr. Vain" became Culture Beat's most successful single, reaching No. 1 in 13 countries. [3] Evans also sang vocals on the singles "Got to Get It", "Anything", "World in Your Hands", "Inside Out", "Crying in the Rain" (which she co-wrote), "Walk the Same Line" and "Take Me Away" with Culture Beat, before she was replaced by Kim Sanders in 1997.
After leaving Culture Beat, Evans released a solo single entitled "Prisoner of Love" which she composed with Peter Ries. The single includes a remix by Hendrick Schimann and Mike Romeo. It was released by Columbia/Sony Music and reached the top 10 on the U.S. Billboard Club Dance chart and No. 75 in Germany. She also appeared on Kosmonova's single "Singing in My Mind" in 1998, which reached No. 78 in Germany.
In 2003, Evans released a house-style single entitled "Strength to Carry On" on Dos or Die Recordings. [2]

The female part of the lyrics describes the narcissist title character Mr. Vain, while the rap embodies his selfish desires.
Inside Out is the third studio album released by the German Eurodance group Culture Beat. The record was released in 1995, and there were four singles released from the album in total. The "Inside Out" album is also the last album to be released with the Jay Supreme & Tania Evans line up. This is also the first album not to be produced by Torsten Fenslau, who died in 1993 while promoting Culture Beat's music.

The ballad is written by Nosie Katzmann with Jay Supreme, Torsten Fenslau and Peter Zweie. It was a top-10 hit in Finland and the Netherlands. In the United Kingdom, it peaked at number 20. Its music video was directed by Matt Broadley and filmed in Sweden.

It was co-written by band members Tania Evans and Jay Supreme with Doug Laurent and Robert Gerding, and produced by Laurent. The single charted in many countries, reaching its best chart positions in Hungary, Germany and Denmark, where it was a top-10 hit. "Crying in the Rain" also reached number-one on the Canadian RPM Dance/Urban chart. The music video for the song was directed by Oliver Sommer and filmed in Hong Kong, China. A CD maxi-single containing remixes was also released under the name "Crying in the Rain Remixes".

It was released in October 1996 as the fourth and final single from their third studio album Inside Out and it was released in 1996. "Walk The Same Line" is also the final release from the Tania Evans and Jay Supreme line up. A CD Maxi Single containing remixes of "Walk The Same Line" was also released, under the name "Walk The Same Line Remix".
