Tanukii Studios Limited. is a British independent video game developer and publisher [1] based in the United Kingdom. Founded in April 2007 by former Traveller's Tales Oxford employees [2] previously responsible for the development of the Crash Bandicoot game Crash Twinsanity and Super Monkey Ball Adventure, [3] Tanukii Studios Limited started by developing games for consoles such as the Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS, as well as later branching out into book publishing [4] and card game publishing. [5] Tanukii Studios Limited was nominated for the best "Micro Studio" category in the 2012 MCV/Develop Industry Excellence Awards. [6]
The company has created original game properties such as the Kokopolo series, the first title in the series which appeared on the Nintendo DS and was published by Arc System Works in Japan. [7]
