Prashanth Thiagarajan, known professionally as Prashanth, is an Indian actor and businessman, known for his works predominantly in Tamil cinema. Besides Tamil films, he has also appeared in few Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam films. At the peak of his career in the late 1990s, Prashanth was one of the popular actors in South India. He has won a Kalaimamani Award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. The son of actor-director Thiagarajan, Prashanth began his career at 17 by appearing in Vaigasi Poranthachu (1990) and went on to feature in other films including Balu Mahendra's Vanna Vanna Pookkal (1992), R. The success of this film saw him garner opportunities to work in bigger film projects and in the late 1990s, he featured in a series of breakthrough films such as Kannedhirey Thondrinal (1998), Kaadhal Kavithai (1998), Jodi (1999), Parthen Rasithen (2000) and Piriyadha Varam Vendum (2001).
Ghajini is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Salem Chandrasekharan. The film stars Suriya and Asin in the lead with Pradeep Rawat as the main antagonist, along with Nayanthara and Riyaz Khan in the supporting roles. Harris Jayaraj composed the soundtrack and background music, while R. D. Rajasekhar and Anthony were the film's cinematographer and editor, respectively. In the film, Sanjay Ramaswamy (Suriya), once an eminent businessman, develops anterograde amnesia due to a head injury he got while attempting to save his fiancee Kalpana (Asin) from getting murdered by a gangster. Jiiva is an Indian actor and film producer who works mainly in Tamil cinema and a few Hindi and Malayalam films. He is the youngest son of film producer R. B. Choudary. He began his career as a child actor in 1991 in films produced by his father. He made his debut as a lead actor in his father's 50th production, Aasai Aasaiyai (2003). After Sivaji Ganesan, Jiiva is the only Tamil actor to have been awarded at the Cyprus International Film Festival, particularly for his performance in Raam (2005).

Mohan Raja is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter who primarily works in Tamil and Telugu film industries. Ramesh Choudary also known by his stage name Jithan Ramesh, is an Indian actor and film producer who works in Tamil cinema. He is the third son of film producer R. B. Choudary and elder brother of actor Jiiva. He made his breakthrough with the thriller film Jithan (2005) and has continued to appear in lead roles.

Thenavattu (transl. Courage) is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by V. V. Kathir, starring Jiiva and Poonam Bajwa, with Ganja Karuppu, Ravi Kale, Shafi, Saikumar, and Rajan P. Dev in supporting roles. The music of the film was composed by Srikanth Deva. The film released on 21 November 2008 and received highly negative reviews from critics. It was a commercial failure in metros but performed well at B and C-centers.
Neethaane En Ponvasantham is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film co written, co produced and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, starring Jiiva and Samantha. This film is shot simultaneously in Telugu, Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu, with Nani replacing Jiiva, while the team also briefly filmed an incomplete Hindi version with Aditya Roy Kapoor, with Samantha playing the leading female role in all three versions. The film is based on a story written by Reshma Ghatala, who produced the film alongside Elred Kumar, Venkat Somasundaram and Menon. The cinematography was handled by M. S. Prabhu and Om Prakash. The film's background score and soundtrack were composed by Ilaiyaraaja which went on to become a chartbuster, and the soundtrack album sold a record 8.5 million units through various platforms on its release.
Rahul Ravindran is an Indian actor, director, and screenwriter who works in Telugu and Tamil films. He made his lead debut in the Tamil film Moscowin Kavery (2010), before playing leading roles as a man with cerebral palsy in Vinmeengal and as a mechanic in Soorya Nagaram. He made his Telugu film debut with Andala Rakshasi (2012) in the Telugu film industry.

Yaan (transl. Me) is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written, directed and filmed by Ravi K. Chandran. It stars Jiiva and Thulasi Nair. This was the second and final Tamil film of leading actress, Thulasi as the latter further quoted of unable to enjoy the deeds of acting. As it never appealed to her taste. The film's soundtrack and score was composed by Harris Jayaraj, while editing and art direction were done by A. Sreekar Prasad and Sabu Cyril, respectively. Resul Pookutty was in charge of the sound mixing and Brinda was in charge of the choreography. The movie was reported to be based on the 1978 movie Midnight Express.
Jilla (transl. District) is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by R. T. Neason and produced by R. B. Choudary through the company Super Good Films. Starring Vijay and Mohanlal, the film revolves around the conflict between crime boss and his adopted son, a police officer whose life and approach towards law change after a violent incident. The film co-stars Kajal Aggarwal, Soori, Mahat, Nivetha Thomas, Sampath Raj and Pradeep Rawat. The film features soundtrack composed by D. Imman, with Ganesh Rajavelu and Don Max handling cinematography and editing respectively.
Manjapai is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by N. Ragavan. Produced by Thirupathi Brothers and A Sarkunam Cinemaz. it stars Vimal, Rajkiran and Lakshmi Menon. The film saw its worldwide release on 6 June 2014. The film was remade in Telugu as Erra Bus with Vishnu Manchu and Dasari Narayana Rao and in Kannada as Mr. Mommaga.The movie was a surprise hit at the box office.
Veedevadu is a 2017 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by Tatineni Satya. Also partially re-shot in Tamil as Yaar Ivan, the film stars Sachiin J. Joshi and Esha Gupta, with Prabhu and Kishore in pivotal roles. Featuring music composed by S. Thaman, the venture began production in May 2015.

Varalaru Mukkiyam is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama film written and directed by Santhosh Rajan in his directorial debut and produced by R. B. Choudary through the company Super Good Films. The films stars his son Jiiva, Kashmira Pardeshi and Pragya Nagra in lead roles. The film's music and score is composed by Shaan Rahman with cinematography handled by Sakthi Saravanan and editing done by N. B. Srikanth.
